Chapter 2 - Chapter One: The Day We Met.

I was sitting in Sunday school with my boring brother Blake while Ms. Riley was giving us the rundown on the story of the Tabernacle. we had just finished our mini model of the Tabernacle when she began to speak. about ten minutes into her summary of the whole thing there was a nock at the door. Curious, I looked out the small window in the door only to catch a glimpse of the back of Ms. Riley's head in front of the window.

she opened the door and gave them a warm welcome. Two of the cutest beings in the whole universe walked into the room and took a seat in the back of the room next to my best friend Gwen. She looked at me from across the room and gave me a wired look as if I was drooling over them. I quickly flashed her a playful grin and and a look to say she caught me red handed.

Ms. Riley had the two boys introduce themsleves. "Hello! My name is Joseph Temlpeton. And this is my brother!!" Joe was quite honestly tiny compared to his brother even though he was taller than him. Joe was barely shorter than me. he and his brother both had her black hair and the most beautiful blue eyes known to man.

"Hello, I'm Brandon. We just moved here from New Mexico." he gave a very timid wave before taking his seat. Gwen stared at me with playful eyes. She already knew exactly what happened in my mind before I could register it myself. Ms. Riley droned on for another twenty minutes and then dismissed the class. "see you all next Sunday children!! don't forget to study!!" she said in her old almost sqweaky voice.

Every one mad a mad dash for the door except for the newbies, Gwen, and myself. she cleared her throat to get Brandon's attention. He turned around and held out his hand for her to shake. "Hi it's nice to meet y'all. I'm Brandon and this is Joe." she said as Gwen took his hand and firmly shook it. "Nice to meet you Brandon, I'm Gwenivere but you can call me Gwen." she said releasing his hand.

He turned to me with his arm still extended. "Howdy!" he said to me with a smile revealing his adorable dimple. I took his hand and gave it a shake. "Hi! Welcome to Louisville Brandon. I'm Alexis, nice to meet you. You can call me what ever, I don't have a preference." I said with as much confidence as possible.

He let go of my hand after what felt like forever. His brother just looked at him and tugged on his dark blue button down shirt pleading him to take him to their parents. "So, what did your family move up here for? we don't have a whole lot of anything." Gwen said with out letting me speak for myself. " Well ya see, my dad and mom moved here to be closer to some family." he said carefree.

"Welp I hope you like it here. It was nice to meet you." she turned to me. " hey Al, I gotta run before my mom comes looking for me. I'll see ya tomorrow." she said before starting for the door. "Bye Gwen. See ya tomorrow!!" I said before she disappeared out the door. "shall we take this conversation to the lobby? my parents are waiting for my brother and myself." he said almost sad.

"Sure!" I said as we headed for the door. My heart was pounding. What on God's green earth could have possibly caused this feeling. What was this feeling. He held the door for me. we slowly walked down the hall towards the lobby. "So, what do you like to do Alexis?" he asked as he gave his brother the signal to beat it. "Well hmm, I dunno. Oh i like playing in the woods with my twin Blake!! we find sticks and turkey feathers and play Indians and cowboys, or sometimes we play hide and seek with our little brother Shane." I said very enthusiasticly.

"Wow your a Twin. that's rare back in swan City." he said. "Really?! I know five sets of twins besides myself. odd, things are different in the south." I said now thinking about how many twins are in my school. "Well yeah. I guess they are. But hey at least you northern girls are some what welcoming. The boys all seemed like they would take me out back to teach me a thing or two." he trailed off. "Well I wouldn't let that happen. they are kinda mean. I don't really fit in here. hopefully you will though." I said trying to cheer him up.

We reached the lobby and my parents were right out side the entrance to the student wing. My dad was talking to a strange man. and his wife was talking to my mom. she had Joe behind her and a small girl hiding in the extra fabric at the bottom of her sweater.

Brandon walked over to them and stood with them. So those were his parents. Cool! I decided to stand with my parents as well. I could see that this was going to mean that our parents were becoming friends.

When church cleared out we went to our car and my dad half yelled for them to follow us.
