When she was in her second year of university, John was already in his fourth year of university and had entered Grant Group as an intern. By then, he rarely had time to accompany her, so she had a better time with her roommates and often went out for supper with them.

Gabriel was afraid of Serenity constantly bumping into people as they navigated the crowd so he protected her in his arms. The two entered a dumpling shop and ordered two bowls of black sesame dumplings.
The shop was very small and the table was glistening with oil. Gabriel frowned slightly and grabbed a tissue to wipe the table in front of them clean.
