When Gabriel was away for a week, Serenity would call him every night. But since Gabriel had always been a man of few words, Serenity ended up being the one speaking most of the time while he listened quietly. After she finished speaking, he would simply hum a soft reply.
But It was a wonderful feeling. The two of them did not love each other, yet the way they got along and kept in touch made them feel at ease.
Serenity was standing in front of the window, looking at the twinkling stars outside. The night wind blew at the curtains, making them flutter.
She fiddled with the calla lilies on the windowsill with one hand and placed her phone by her ear with her right hand. She was in a good mood. "The moonlight tonight is very good. Did you see it?"
Gabriel, who was on the other end of the phone, was silent for a moment "It's daytime in the United States."
