"Do you know what time it is?" Gabriel interrupted her.
"Huh?" Serenity was dazed after being cut off so abruptly.
"It's almost midnight. You might not be sleepy since you slept for the whole day. But I didn't get that luxury." Gabriel had not gotten much rest the night before, afraid something would happen to Serenity when he was asleep. Now, he was so sleepy that he couldn't open his eyes. He just wanted to fall asleep immediately.
"Alright then, let's sleep."
The next day, when Gabriel woke up, Serenity was still sound asleep. He reached out to touch her forehead. Her fever had subsided and the complexion on her face had returned to normal.
He got out of bed and walked two steps before turning back. He took her phone and turned off the alarm before walking to the cloakroom, grabbing his clothes, and entering the bathroom.
