Ji Fengmian leaned against the bed. Other than his eyes and nose, his entire body was wrapped in white gauze. There were two soft pillows behind him as he stared quietly at the television hanging on the wall.
Uncle Chu came to deliver food to her.
She didn't react to the news on TV.
Ji Fengmian took the cup from him and stuffed the straw into his mouth before taking a sip of the porridge.
"It's hard on you, Director. It's not easy to lie in front of so many reporters."
Uncle Chu replied softly, "It's not a lie."
Ji Fengmian pursed his lips and looked at the television screen again.
In the chaotic scene, her gaze was still fixed on the boy standing quietly behind the entrance of the orphanage.
Her eyes darkened and she stopped looking at the screen.
Uncle Chu turned off the television. "Miss, is there anywhere you want to go? I'll go for a while."
"Arrange what?"
