Ling Tianyu looked at the clan genealogy in his hands, not uttering a word. He examined every name, every past Clan Leader listed, over and over, but couldn't find any clue.
"Eh!" Just when Tianyu couldn't see anything different, he suddenly noticed an inconsistency.
He saw that apart from the name of his ancestor, the Ling God, and his three sons, there was something common in all the other names.
The names of the successive Clan Leaders all contained one of these four characters — Feng, Wu, Tian, and Zhan.
One character represents one generation: Feng for the first generation, Zhan for the fourth. These four characters cycle through the four generations, a pattern that never fades.
"Strange, Dad's name doesn't contain any of these four characters, what's going on?" Just as Tianyu had figured this out, he realized his father's name didn't match up; yet, his and his brother's names did, both containing the character Tian.
