Ling Tianyu, clad in a suit and a pair of shiny leather shoes, sat in the living room, watching Duan Yanran and Su Ruoxi, who were still packing their things. Both women were wearing their pajamas; it was just past one in the morning, and they had long been asleep. Waking them up now indeed disturbed their rest.
Both women were confused, utterly at a loss as to what was happening. They had been sleeping soundly; why did they suddenly have to leave Yishanzhuang?
"Are you finished packing?" Ling Tianyu saw the two women, dressed now, walking over and quickly stood up to ask.
"We're ready," Duan Yanran sat down and replied, staring at Ling Tianyu and nodding. She had a bad feeling, even though Ling Tianyu seemed relaxed and said nothing. But she could sense something had happened.
"Let's go," Ling Tianyu yawned, extinguishing the remaining cigarette in the ashtray and picked up the car keys, leading the two women outside the villa.
