Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Envious of Your Wealth

The others, too, stared at Su Han with disdain, urging him to leave. To them, Su Han completely did not fit in, resembling a bumpkin — how could he possibly join their games?

When Qiao Yuman heard this, she also felt that Wu Hongwei had gone a bit too far. She became slightly angry and was about to speak out, but she held herself back.

Although she had initially wanted to give Su Han a reality check, Wu Hongwei's words were too harsh and damaging to one's self-esteem, which made her feel somewhat guilty. She looked at Su Han and noticed his calm expression, as if he hadn't taken Wu Hongwei's words to heart at all.

Su Han stared back at Wu Hongwei, who continued to poke him with a finger. A glint of light flashed through Su Han's eyes, and he smiled, "Is that so? Well, your starting point might just end here."

As soon as he finished speaking, Su Han flicked his finger, and a stream of Profound Qi instantly penetrated Wu Hongwei's body, sealing various acupoints almost instantly!

Su Han's movements were extremely covert, seemingly effortless, yet Wu Hongwei suddenly felt an immense pain all over his body.

Every joint seemed as if something was striking from within, causing him such pain that he suddenly screamed out loud.

"Ah! My hands! My feet! My knees! It hurts! It hurts so much!" Wu Hongwei's face turned pale instantly, he stumbled backward, collapsing onto a sofa and crying out in agony.

The crowd was shocked to see Wu Hongwei reduced to such a state and looked at Su Han warily.

"Wu Hongwei! What's wrong with you?"

"What did you do to him!" another man immediately stood up, supporting Wu Hongwei and glared coldly at Su Han, "Hmph, despicable scoundrel, you actually attacked him covertly!"

Their gaze towards Su Han filled with even more anger.

But Su Han just spread his hands, an expression of helplessness on his face, "Did you see me lift a finger?"

His demeanor remained calm, nonchalant, which left the others at a loss for words. Su Han stood there, without making a single move; they weren't blind and knew very well it couldn't have been Su Han who acted physically.

With their vision, how could they possibly see Su Han using the Profound Qi Finger?

Wu Hongwei's face was pale, he cried out in agony as if he was being dismembered, tears falling from the pain. The others also began to worry — if something serious happened to Wu Hongwei, they could not avoid involvement either.

Sitting aside, Qiao Yuman stared deeply at Su Han, unsure whether it was he who had acted. If it truly was Su Han, how powerful he must be?

"Wu Hongwei, what's wrong with you?"

"Should we call an ambulance?"

Several people grew worried as Wu Hongwei's face grew increasingly troubled, and they all became anxious, with no more mood to continue their festivities.

"Right, aren't you a doctor?"

Suddenly, someone shouted; they had just heard Qiao Yuman mention that Su Han was an intern doctor. At this point, they were too concerned to care about formalities and all turned to look at Su Han.

At such a moment, they could hardly manage their usual reservations, naturally prioritizing saving a life above everything else.

Su Han stood there, slightly squinting his eyes, his expression serene. He appeared almost sage-like, exuding an ethereal aura, "He's fine, just hasn't drunk enough. That type of alcohol, which I could only pay for with a year's salary — if he downs ten bottles, he'll recover."

His words left the others even more astonished. Not drunk enough? Since when did such a condition exist?

"What nonsense are you talking about!" another man immediately cried out, "Absurd!"

"Ahh—" Wu Hongwei cried out even louder, contorting in pain, his eyes rolling back in his head in a frightful sight.

Su Han spread his hands, a helpless expression on his face, "I've already told you the way to save him, but you won't listen, so it's not my problem anymore. Yuman, let's go. If we delay any longer, even the ambulance will be useless."

Hearing Su Han's words, the others were even more terrified. Could Wu Hongwei die?

After all, they were young and inexperienced. The mention of death made them even more nervous and somewhat panicked.

Qiao Yuman looked at Su Han, surprised beyond measure. Her "brother-in-law" seemed quite different from what she had thought.

She glanced at Wu Hongwei, then at Su Han, and back at Wu Hongwei again before asking, unable to help herself, "What if he drinks ten bottles of alcohol and still isn't better?"

"Then I would be a murderer," Su Han said with a nonchalant smile.

Upon hearing this, the others dared not waste time anymore, shouting, "Open the wine! Quick! Get Wu Hongwei to drink it!"

The group scrambled chaotically, grabbing the bottles and forcibly helping Wu Hongwei drink them down, sip by sip.

Su Han said nothing, found a spot to sit down, and started eating fruit by himself, completely oblivious to the chaos around him.

After drinking the first bottle, Wu Hongwei's face had already turned red.

With the second bottle, veins on his forehead began to pop out.

As he was drinking the third bottle and was just about to vomit, Su Han remarked indifferently, "If you vomit, you'll have to keep drinking; you can't vomit."

The group immediately covered Wu Hongwei's mouth, forcing him to swallow!

The fourth, the fifth…

By the ninth bottle, Qiao Yuman was stupefied; Wu Hongwei's belly had swollen as if he were ten months pregnant. She worried that if he continued to drink, he wouldn't die from pain but from the swelling caused by the alcohol!

"Just one more bottle, give it a bit more effort," Su Han said, holding a slice of watermelon, chuckling.

The group clenched their teeth, not caring about anything else as they continued to pour the tenth bottle straight into Wu Hongwei's mouth...

Ten empty bottles lay haphazardly on the table. Everyone stared at Wu Hongwei, who lay immobile, catching his breath and not crying out in pain anymore, just touching his belly with a frown on his face. They finally sighed in relief.

"Wu Hongwei, does it still hurt?" a girl asked timidly.

Wu Hongwei, unable to speak, just shook his head to indicate it didn't hurt, stunning everyone. Had Su Han been right all along?

"What kind of sickness is this that can be cured by drinking?" Qiao Yuman's eyes widened as if she had seen something miraculous.

Her family owned a hospital, yet she had never heard of such a peculiar disease cured by drinking alcohol.

She stared wide-eyed and glanced at Su Han.

Su Han, meanwhile, pulled out a tissue, casually wiped his hands, took a look at Wu Hongwei with his swollen belly, and said indifferently, "This is a disease of the wealthy. I envy your rich people's lifestyle; common people really can't afford it."

At this moment, the way the others looked at Su Han had changed.

Young as they were, they weren't foolish. They had calmed down now and realized that Su Han was just playing with Wu Hongwei. What disease of the wealthy? It was simply Su Han teasing him!

Qiao Yuman glanced at her brother-in-law, her thoughts stirring, suddenly becoming curious. It seemed like the jerk in front of her wasn't as ordinary as her sister had described.
