The hospital entrance was quite fancy. There was a large waiting area before the glass-separated receptionist desk, with fancy, soft seats. Most hospitals didn't have the kind of budget that allowed for comfortable seating, but this one somehow managed.
The guards were mostly sitting there, waiting. There was a total of four of them, all hired by the French government just in case the kidnapper came back for his boyfriend. The higher ups seemed to think he would, but Ali wasn't so sure.
"I mean, he's obviously the girl in the relationship, right?" he complained to his fellow guards, putting up his feet on another seat. "And all bitches are the same. Soon as their man can't provide, they move out and find another one."
One of the other guards chuckled in agreement, while the other two shared a look.
"You still mad that Aaliya rejected you?" teased one of them. "You know she's just a stripper, right?"
