In a state of panic, I ran threw all of my memories. It felt like a blank slate. There was nothing there. Just a void. A void full of nothing.
The doctor could see the panic in my eyes. He marked something on his clipboard. "Hmmm. Ok. I have another question. Ready? "
How could I be ready. Ready for what? Why was I so scared from a question? I was about to find out. I nodded. Pointing to the woman on the chair, at the end of my bed, he said, "Do you know who she is? " I went threw my black slate mind. Nothing.
I shook my head. The woman started to tear up. "Is she important? " I thought. The doctor also put that down, with his red pen. I could his green pen his front pocket. He didn't even do much as look at it.
"One last question, before I call the other Doctors to check up on you and see how you are doing, ok? " As much as I didn't want other doctors, I didn't want any other questions. So I nodded, wanting to get this over with.
The doctor looked at his clipboard and read a little bit. He made faces as he was reading. His face scrunched up, and he was talking under his breath. He looked at the woman at the end of my bed. She nodded, looking really scared.
Her brown hair was all messed up, as if she hasn't slept in days. Her lipstick looked like it was slipping off her bottom lip. But her eyes. Her eyes gave it away. They had fear in them. She was reliving something. But what?
