When I first looked out of my eyes, the first thing I saw were the stars. They were bright gold, framed by specks of blue and a multitude of other colors. Then I felt pain, as if something was trying to stifle me, it was almost successful, were it not for the rough hands that soon grabbed me.
"Hmph, another failure.", a quiet but coarse voice could be heard. I could not yet make out a face as my body adjusted to the shock of breathing air, and the dryer environment that was to be known as 'above water'.
"No, not quiet.", A melodious, yet anoyying voice responded. "This one's has more potential, but we still need a different kind of potential.", the voice said while poking my face." , the voice continued.
"You always say that Dalom.", the coarse voice continued.
Now that my eyes adjusted, I could make out a broad shouldered, black and gold entity, and next to it was a lithe, white and blue entity. One would think they were entirely different, except for one common feature; there eyes, or lack there of. Looking at them closer, they didn't have faces either, just smooth masks of a face that seemed to radiate emotion. The black one seemed to radiate annoyance and disappointment, while the white one radiated a calm, yet discerning attitude.
Intriguing, the one that was valled Dalom spoke. Noticing my stares, the other justed grunted in response and mumbled something about me being creepy.
Just as I was getting used to these handlers of mine, their forms shifted. Their new forms couldn't be anymore different from there initial states. The black being who was holding me at the time got shorter and thinner growing wider hips and swollen lumps on their chest; what I would later learn what were called breasts. The white one was different, it got slightly taller, and gaining a slightly more muscular, and masculine shape... each developed with the respective genitalia.
Slightly terrified, I would later gracefully voice my concern.
"See, Dalarn, he"s upset by that comment.", the formerly white and blue being scolded the other.
"No he's not," the voice retorted, "he's just hungry." Now holding me close to their large chest mounds, trying to get my mouth on them. Well I kind've was, but I didn't realize it at the time.
"Hey, that's not how your supposed to feed them!" the formerly white and blue one shouted, ripping me from the other ones arms.
Pushing against them, I noticed that weird smooth hairs started to appear on their boidies, yet it wasn't attached to them. Furthermore, the natural attached hairs didn't match the new ones in coloration either. Their attached hairs were black and white respectively.
After a few seconds, the fake hairs covered their entire chest, torso, and lower legs, with sides along the arms being embossed with silver and drooping away from the wrists. Lastly, the changes finnaly stopped when they developed eyes, mouths, and noses.
I was rather calm, unfazed by the change, at this point.
Staring with hints of fear at these odd beings, who began to move us away from the waters edge and towards large leafy things in the distance. Seeing an opputrunity the black one get its' hands back on me. Not that Dalom seemed to mind, but I did, however. Approaching the leafy things, I noticed that there was a path lined by stone statues of odd figures.
On the left were male statues, and on the right were females. Some were tall, and others short and some had little to no form to speak of. Several had macabe figures, while a couple had were made of rudimentary shapes. However of all the figures we passed, they all had one thing in common, they had no faces.
As we walked further down the path, I could begin to make out a structure in the distance. The structure little buy little was revealed to stand in a cleared circle, amidst the dense bruch and what I decided to call 'trees'. The stucture appeared in the shape of a 4-sided, step-pyramid, made enturely of rough curt rectangular blocks. Little did I know at the time is that this would be the real start of it all, and where I would eventually meet my end.
