CHAPTER 75
By the time he got to the hallway, his eyes darted to and fro. He wasn't sure of which route he should take to search.
'Yes, let me check the locker room first.'
No sooner had he said that in his mind, than he heard a shout.
"AHHHHH!!"
Sasuke's eyes widened I shock the moment he recognized the voice. "Sakiko! No, no, no… Something bad has happened. Please be alright, please be alright," he whispered to himself as he ran towards the locker room.
By the time he got to the stairs and climbed, preparing himself to climb the second one, he saw a figure lying on the ground towards the where the abandoned lockers and some stored equipments were kept.
His heart skipped a bit as he forgot to breathe the moment his eyes confirmed that it was her.
"Sakiko!"
His legs found the ability to move again and he ran to where she was lying on the ground, unconscious.
"Sakiko, come on, please, wake up." As he called her name, he held her against himself, shaking her lightly and hoping she would come to.
After some seconds with she not opening her eyes, he yelled. "Help! Somebody, help me!"
He cupped her face in his hands, his eyes suddenly began to tear the moment he noticed the blood at the side of her head.
"No, please, no."
Not wasting anymore time, he picked her up bridal style, so his hand was supporting her back and the other went under her knees and hurriedly went back the way he came.
By the time he got to the staircase, he met the P.E teacher, who was clibing up to join him in looking for Sakiko.
"Sasuke, what happened?" He asked Sasuke, his eyes trailing his hand to Sakiko then back to look at Sasuke.
"Sensei, quick call an ambulance, please. I found her unconscious, lying on the ground near where the abandoned lockers and equipments are kept." He briefly explained while walking, not bothering to stop to look at the teacher.
"Yes, right on it."
He stopped and brought out his phone from his pocket to make the call, while Sasuke rushed out of the school building with Sakiko in his hands.
It didn't take long for the ambulance to arrive at the school and Sakiko was quickly transported to the school's hospital and admitted, with a drip connected to one of her hands.
By the time things were settled, Sasuke placed a call through to Itsumi, informing of te accident and Sakiko being admitted in the hospital.
"Oh my goodness!" Itsumi half yelled into the phone with her mouth hung agape.
Itachi who was sitting beside her with his focus on the film he was watching, suddenly turned his head to face her. "Hey, what is wrong?" He asked her, but she didn't reply him.
"Hmm, got it. We would be there soon enough. Thanks."
Beep!
The call cut from his end. Without bothering to remove the phone from her ear, her gaze shifted to her brother's worried eyes.
"Itsumi, you are scaring me. What is wrong? Was that Sasuke just now? What happened to Sakiko?"
He rained several questions at her, not giving her time to react or answer anyone of his questions.
"Itsumi, answer me!" She blinked, his shout brought her out of her stupor.
"Sakiko had an accident in school and collapsed."
"Oh my.. Quick, let us go and inform dad and mum," Itachi suggested, his voice raised in alarm.
Both of them stood up from the couch and hurried to go find their parents.
"Mum, dad!"

At the hospital, Sasuke is seen sitting outside the ward with both hands held together in front of him, when the Ishida's hurried to where he was against the nurses' warning not to run.
"Sasuke, where is she?"
Itsumi asked as soon as she got to where he was seated. On seeing the full family, he stood up and lowered his head to greet them before answering Itsumi's question.
"She is in the ward now. The doctor asked that I give her time alone. She needed to rest," He explained to her family.
Mrs Ishida walked past her husband and children and moved to his front. "Hey. It is going to be okay, alright? Just like always."
She tried her best to comfort him because she knew he was feeling bad and probably blaming himself for what happened to her daughter.
From the look in his eyes, she could see his deep concern and worry for Sakiko as well as the guilt. "It is not your fault any of this happened," she added and pulled him in for a hug.
"It's all going to be okay," reassuring him, but the words felt as though she was saying them to comfort herself instead.
Her heart was heavy seeing Sasuke that way. She knew how he felt. It was virtually the same way she was feeling right now, hurt, regret, pain.
"How is her condition?" Mr Ishida asked, breaking the silence and awkward atmosphere, pulling every one of them back to the matter at hand.
Sniff!
Sasuke drew his nostrils then used his hand to wipe his tears away, turning his gaze to look at Mr Ishida.
"She is stable and okay. They would check if she has a concoction because of the way she fell down to the ground and the cut she had on her head.
"The what?!" All four of them chorused at once.
Mrs Ishida loosened her hold on him and moved back to stare right into his eyes as if trying to check if he was bluffing.
His teary eyes stared back at hers, with so much seriousness. There was no hint about him joking.
"But you didn't tell me that, prior to this time."
Itsumi spoke up, her tone increasing and her brows kneaded to show her displeasure at not being told the state where her kid sister was.
"I am sorry. I didn't want you to panic and cause your parents to worry so much before you all got here," he explained briefly, hoping they would accept it and not hold a grudge.
