I'm shaken awake. Opening my eyes, I see Killua and Kurapika looking at me with questionable faces. I sit up, I can feel the cold sweat on my back. Looks like I had another nightmare. But, I can't seem to remember what it is…
Kurapika: "Esther…"
I look up, Kurapika's face shows that he is worried. Worried about what?
Kurapika: "It must have been hard…"
He hugs me, I freeze. I don't really like physical contact. I turn to look at Killua, trying to get some sort of clue. He looks at me, not sure what to say. Kurapika let's go of me.
Kurapika: "It's okay now, he's not here. He's not here. It's in the past now. He can't hurt you anymore."
He? Is he talking about my father? Why was I dreaming about my father? I thought I moved on from that fact, guess it's something I can't forget. I get up, and walk towards the fridge. They stare at me still. I open a bottle of water and gulp it as fast as I can. I choke, I begin to cough. Killua pats me on the back. I tell him I'm fine now. It was only a dream. Not like I remember what I dreamt about.
He gives me a glare. What? I told him the truth, I don't remember what I dreamt of. Killua grabs my hand and has me stare at it. I can see it shaking. Oh man, it's happened again. I quickly take my hand back and hide it behind me. Kurapika walks to me.
Killua: "What did you dream about?"
Esther: "I don't remember."
Killua: "Really? Don't lie to me. I can see you shaking, you also have a cold sweat. It's quite obvious that you had a nightmare."
Esther: "It's the truth, I really don't remember."
Kurapika: "Perhaps it's a psychological thing. He may be unaware of it. Has this ever happened before?"
Esther: "Well, yes. Back at Whale Island, I had this happen multiple times. But each time, I don't remember."
Kurapika: "How often does it happen?"
Esther: "Maybe 3 times a month? I don't bother keeping track of it. Not like it will hurt me."
Killua: "You're wrong!"
I look at Killua, he shouted loud enough to wake the others up. Everyone is staring at us.
Killua: "When you were dreaming, you kept telling whoever you saw in that dream to help kill you. Not only that, you even pulled out a knife and was about to stab your throat. If I wasn't awake, you would have died!"
Knife? What is he talking about- I see a knife on the ground near where I sleep. Taking a closer look, some blood is on it. If I didn't get hurt, then who did? I notice a wound on Killua's palm. I grab it instinctively.
Esther: "Your hand…"
Killua: "Forget about my hand! What did you dream about?!"
Kurapika: "Killua, you shouldn't scream. He is telling the truth, and you know that…"
Killua stops talking, he looks at me with an annoyed expression. He walks off and sits near the wall, Gon walks up to me.
Gon: "Guess it's happened again. But this is the first time I've seen you almost hurt yourself."
Esther: "Yeah, sorry about that…"
Gon: "Still can't remember what it is?"
Esther: "No…maybe I said something since Kurapika kept saying 'he'. Hey Kurapika, what did I say?"
Kurapika: "Let's see…well, you did repeat the word yellow."
Yellow…isn't that the hunter who burned down my home? Why would I dream about him? Wait, does it have something to do with what he said but I was unable to hear? It could be…Maybe if I find him, I can find my home?
Esther: "I see…thank you though."
Kurapika: "No problem. Hopefully this won't happen in a critical moment."
Esther: "Hopefully so…"
