Gon: "Thanks!"
Gon hold out his hand. The navigator shakes it.
"I would be happy to serve as your guide next year, as well."
He closes the door behind him. I can feel the room rock. It feels like it's moving…Oh no.
Kurapika: "It appears this room is an elevator."
Leorio sits down on a chair.
Leorio: "Bastard… that meant that he expects us to fail this year."
Kurapika: "Once every 3 years…"
Leorio: "Huh?"
Kurapika: "The frequency which a rookie passes the exam."
Gon: "It's that unusual?"
Kurapika: "Some cannot endure the exam's physical and mental strain. It's also not unusual for veterans to break the rookies who consequently, never retake the exam."
Gon: "So I guess candidates are willing to risk everything to become hunters."
Leorio slams his hands on the table.
Leorio: "But, of course! Hunters make the most money in this world!"
Kurapika: "No! Hunters are the most noble in this world."
Leorio: "Glory hog!"
Kurapika: "Money grubber!"
I can hear them fighting, but I'm too caught up in trying to prepare for sickness. They keep turning the table and are also yelling at Gon about their different point of view. Poor Gon…
L and K: "Gon! What do you think? Which kind of hunter do you hope to become?!"
Gon: "Well when you put it that way…"
The elevator stops. Gon's saved.
Kurapika: "I think we arrived."
Leorio: "We'll continue this later."
The doors open. I exit after the rest. Putting a hand on the wall, I grab a baggy and throw up. Don't look, don't look. Looking up, I can feel the tension is the air. The candidates must really want this badly.
Leorio: "Strange atmosphere down here."

A green man gives us badges with a number on it. I'm number 406, Gon is number 405, Kurapika is 404, and Leorio is 403.

He walks off.
