She couldn't stand it anymore, everyone was being too loud. She just wanted them to shut up! She tried to focus on her homework again, but she felt a tap on her back and everything fell silent.
"Hey," a boy whispered from behind her, she delicately turned her head around. All eyes fell on them.
"OMG, is he actually talking to her? Who does he think he is?" a a boy across the room scoffed, gossiping with a classmate.
"Yes?" her sweet voice rung through the room, ignoring the comment.
"I, I just wanted to ask. Oh gosh, now I'm nervous," the green-eyed, light blue-haired boy attempted to talk.
"No need to be, Jay," the girl spoke, she could hear the whisper's of everyone else in class but she didn't care. She was used to it by now, she knew it would always be like this.
"Oh," he turned pink hearing her say his name.
"Do you need help?" she asked him with a smile.
"Awe, she's so sweet," she heared one of the girls across the room whisper.
"Ha ha, yeah," Jay awkwardly smiled, "If it wouldn't be a problem,"
"Of course not," she fully turned to face him, "what's confusing you?" she flipped her pencil a couple times.
"I don't really understand what I'm supposed to do, I haven't been here for a couple weeks, so," Jay nervously laughed.
"Understandable, then no biggie" she looked at him trying to reassure him he's not at fault, "so first you have to..." she started explaining the algebra 2 homework. She continued helping him until the bell rung.
RIIING!
"oh gosh, look at the time," Jay freaked out.
"hey, hey calm down, it's not the end of the world, Jay," she chuckled.
He used to wonder, what makes her so likable? Now he knew why. She spoke to everyone as if they were her friend.
"Uh, thanks for the help, Eva," she didn't feel like a stranger to him anymore.
"No problem, if you ever need help again just ask me," she smiled,
"thanks, well I got to go, thank you again!" Jay smiled and headed for his next class.
