When Emma opened the door, she got the shock of a lifetime.
"Xi... Xion?" Emma thought she was dreaming.
She saw Xion standing right outside. He was smiling sweetly. The man looked exactly like he was ten years ago right before he left for the last battle with Therius and it was enough to render the woman speechless.
"Am I… dreaming?" Emma croaked out as she looked at the sight of the Time Master before her. She couldn't believe it and she wondered if he was a figment of her imagination.
Tears stung her eyes.
It didn't help that Xion was not even moving. He was holding his breath and looking at Emma with an expression that was difficult to put into words.
The man looked stunned just like her, but then his gaze softened as he looked at her. There was so much love in his eyes that Emma couldn't help but reach out to him to see if Xion before her was only a mirage or illusion.
