"Then I wouldn't have supported you and I would tell the truth to Emma," Xion smiled sadly. "Haoran was incredibly sick at that time, Therius, but you used that opportunity to have Emma agree to become your queen. That was incredibly selfish of you."
"If you will always put the needs of others before your own, nobody will take care of yours." Therius huffed and turned away from Xion. "I will meet you on the battlefield. Let us settle our conversation there."
"Therius it's not too late to—" Xion held himself back and told himself that no matter how deep their relationship in the past was, he could not force his friend to turn away from his decision by force.
How much more could a friend overlook the mistakes a person made? There needed to be an end and this was as far as Xion would go.
He could no longer pretend that Therius could recover from this.
Everything was now leading up to the final confrontation and there was no more turning back.
