After carefully examining the skeleton, Ye Wudao placed it inside a large urn he had prepared earlier and then sealed it shut. On the lid, he stuck two talismans, bit open his middle finger, squeezed out a drop of blood, and let it fall onto the talismans while murmuring, "Majestic is the virtue so supreme, the merit now wholly replete, descend to guide the spirit, with treasures of teaching so sweet, mercy showers the law's water, cleansing obsessions from the deep, to ferry beyond the pure shores, ever leaving the mire we leap... Swift as the decree commands!"
As Ye Wudao finished reciting the spell, the urn's lid, where the talismans had been affixed, suddenly emitted a faint red glow. After about three seconds, the red light vanished without a trace. Then Ye Wudao lit a Soul-Calming Incense, placed it on the lid, and spoke, "It's ready, you may come out now."
