[BACK IN THE TOWN]
After the incident, Gilbert's affection towards me increases drastically. He becomes friendlier and always helps the cleaning in the restaurant regularly. It's almost like he became a worker in this restaurant instead of being a guard for the town. Well, the village became a town already and the defense has been increasing day by day.
We then hear the commotion outside of the restaurant's window and see a carriage with the royal crest entering this town as the bystanders clearing its path. Everyone is so confused why does the royal be here in the first place?
The carriage then stops in front of the restaurant and the coachman then opens the door for the royalty to dismount. The first person to dismount was the crown prince, Prince Vincent.
"Ugh, what does he want now?", Gilbert muttered with his annoyed expression.
The crown prince sees me by the window and he starts waving right at me with a smile but Gilbert becomes more furious wanted to close the curtains. But then, the figure of a girl came from the carriage and she looks kinda familiar.
" Alicia....", I was surprised when I took a glance at her.
"Someone you know?", Gilbert asked
"...", I didn't know how to answer his question as I kept staring at Princess Alicia.
Ding-Ding, the sound of the vintage grass bell ring as they open the door and enter my restaurant.
" Welcome dear customer! Please have a seat and I apologize if the place is not to your liking", I greet them both and apologize if the place is too shabby for them.
"...", Alicia just stares at me in silence with happiness but teary eyes.
" Ehem, no, it's okay! The place is good enough since it has a different structure and design than any other restaurant in the capital", The crown prince replied.
"Ah... ah yesh, the place is already gwud and I hear from my bwuther that it serves a delicioush meal too!", Alicia replied to me in frantic after her brother, the crown prince brought her back to reality.
Both of them then choose to take a seat near the window and browse the menu after Gilbert handed the menu to them.
" I'll be having this Katsudon then", the crown prince ordered.
"And I'll be having Oden!", Alicia continues.
Katsudon is a bowl of rice topped with a deep-fried pork cutlet, egg, vegetables, and condiments.
Oden is a type of nabemono, consisting of several ingredients such as boiled eggs, daikon, konjac, and processed fishcakes stewed in a light, soy-flavored dashi broth. Oden was originally what is now commonly called misodengaku or simply dengaku; konjac or tofu was boiled and eaten with miso.
" Alright! Katsudon and Oden coming right up!", I said with joy.
As their order arrives, Alicia and the crown prince then taste the food with a satisfied face. Alicia's cute face becomes ten times cuter as if I want to hug her right away and the crown prince was just impressed by the taste and keep his composure.
I was really wondering why does the crown prince becomes so quiet and control his behavior. It's because Gilbert keeps staring at him with his eyes burning in the fiery fire as if Gilbert is telepathically threatening him.
For some reason, Alicia keeps staring at me even though I was cleaning or serving another customer as if she wants to talk to me.
"Who gave her information about me?",
" The crown prince suppose to not know that I was her friend. Does he?",
"This is bad! If she knows that I was Rose Bennet, she forces me to be a noble again with those worst family",
My mind thinks all of that as I am sweating in a panic state because of the situation. Is this really the end of my chances of getting a normal life?
