She chose a body similar to hers with a few exceptions to hair color and height
"Set my body the same but 12 cm shorter and my hair should be bright red with deep purple tips as for my eyes a starlit grey"

As Beta Players enter the Bloodlines realm the feeling could be described as waking up from a nap in the warm spring sun.
All except for one player.

A large portly man slapped the back of a young man's head
"Wake up boy I told you to stop drifting off into those fantasy worlds of yours." he popped off.
"I'm so sorry sir it won't happen again" the boy replied trying to remember what he was just thinking about.

The man positioned a bag of feed on the boy's shoulder then pointed over by the barn door of the feed store. The boy turned and struggled to carry the bag over to the spot dropping the bag splitting it down the middle.
Thud*
"Awww Dammit, Get the hell outta here boy." The man yelled.
The boy hung his head and slowly walked away. The man muttered "Last time I get my help from the orphanage"

"Welcome home Koda-Kun" exclaimed a small framed frail boy no older than 10 years old. "Did it happen again?"
Koda lightly nodded and continued down the hall to his room, walking slowly as to not wake up the mistress of the orphanage. As he tiptoed past her open door he looked in her office.
'whew, she's asleep as always'

The mistress was a well to do heiress that had a husband at one point in her early 20's.
Together they started an orphanage for the children around the realm that were lost or parentless due to war with other countries and monster attacks.
You see, she is unable to have children of her own and he was ok with that, to begin with.
As time went on his desire for a male heir for the sake of his name and Estate grew so much that he was stepping out on her for years before eventually leaving her for a woman half her age.
Unable to deal with the crushing blow of being alone she tried to give the orphanage away but no one would receive it. Instead, the people just kept dumping more kids on her and gave them a small number of funds to help feed and clothe the children. Most of that money went to the liquor.
Most days she found her self in the sitting room in a drunken state unable to even form sentences, but, on those rare occasions she was lucid enough she took a liking the hitting the children to release her pain before eventually balling up on the floor crying hugging a bottle.

Koda Swiftly made it by her doorway with the constantly creaking floor.
He made it to his room wiping a cold bead of sweat off his brow." Made it"
As he opened his door to his small 5 by 10 room that he shared with 4 other kids.
The door made a loud noise.

Frantically he turned his head down the hallway towards the dim light flowing out in the hall from the window.
He waited but nothing, so he turned his head back and just then a raspy shrilled voice called out
"Koda ...Koda.....KODA GORO" she yelled out.
"Y Y Yes Mistress" He answered walking back down to her sight.
"Koda Dear is it evening already," She asked
"No Mistress" he replied again.
"Oh, what a joyous occasion, you finished early that means you made a bonus" she took a sip of her ale finishing off the cup turning it over into her open mouth with liquid streaming down her cheek.
"Come, Pour me some more." gesturing the cup in a waving motion
"Yes," he hurried over to the table beside her and grabbed the jug of ale and pour till the cup was almost overflowing.
"MMM Yes you know just how I like it, Koda." She took another look dring of the ale this time finishing 2/3rds of the cup.
"So, what was today's profits Koda dear?" She said looking up at him with half-glazed over eyes while holding out her claw-like hand palm up.
Digging deep into his pockets for the change he managed to make today and pulled out some shapely coins placing them in her open hand.
"5 Pence Mistress"
"Oh, 5 Pence..."
While looking at the coins in her hand and the stood up so quickly backhanding Koda while dropping the coins on the ground.
He was knocked back on to his @ss sliding back several feet before hitting the wall by the door. She then threw the cup of ale at his head, narrowly missing it by a few centimeters. She pointed at the door yelling
"Now get back out there and don't come back until you have made more than that measly little 5 pence and more to cover the ale you just made me spill."
He rolled over onto all fours and began to run slipping in the puddle of ale at his feet, heading towards the door. He escaped out before she could make it out of the room all while still yelling at him. The frail boy from earlier leaned out the window calling out to Koda calmly
"See you later Koda-Kun" because to him this is an all too common occurrence.

Later that evening after pleading all around the town and not finding any luck, For the townspeople all knew Koda nad how much he messed up, Koda decided to make a trip to the next town over to look for work.
'I can walk through the forest on the trails and be there a little after sundown and I'll camp out till the next day to make some money. If I stick to the path nothing well happen only small rabbits and slimes cross those'
Having made up his mind up he set off.

She called out "dash" then instantly closed a 10-meter gap between the slicing the head of the goblin clean from its body.
