Third Person's Point of View
Sonia looked at the excited students from the window of the library's 3rd floor. An open book in front of her as her bored and unmotivated green orbs closed for a rest. Her right cheek resting on the palm of her right hand, a sigh escaping her lips upon noticing a person taking pulling a seat in front of her and took a seat.
"You don't seem excited." Cole said in a low voice taking notice of the people inside the library.
"What's there to be excited about?" Cole sighed. She was expecting that. Its Sonia afterall. "So, you're not going to the gym?"
Cole scanned the girl once again, her amber eyes taking details of Sonia's appearance that as the girl was busy gazing at the view outside.
"Are you going?"
Sonia looked at the girl once again her temple resting on the back of her right hand as her green orbs looked at the girl in complete boredom.
"What do you think?"
"Obviously not." Cole replied with a sass that was soon replaced by a chuckle. "I'm joining in since the gym is quite crowded and boring."
"Suit yourself." And with that, Sonia went back to her moping state where she buried her face in the pages of the book in front of her. Cole though, didn't leave her sight on the girl, she was in deep thought. In the back of her mind is something that she questions herself.
'Sonia is weird, she's childish and funny the first then quiet and unmotivated the next.' She thought. And instead of knitting her brows together and ponder on her thoughts more, she smiled.
'Yet somehow I don't feel bothered about it at all.' She chuckled. "Maybe I'm being weird as well."
"Yes. Yes you are." She flinched, her brown eyes meeting Sonia's green ones. She realized that she was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice Sonia was staring back.
"You're weird." Sonia stated a smirk crawling on her lips. Which Cole responded with scowl.
"Look whose talking."
The two became silent for a second yet the silence seems to have been forgotten as Sonia and Cole both broke into a fits of laughter.
"Alright Stop." Just as Cold said, the two of them went quiet. That was until they both started giggling again.
"Where are Dianne and Rianne? And where's Yara?"
"They went to the gym."
"Sorry you have to be absent there Cole."
Cole eyed the girl flipping the book she is holding. She really look lady like. If only her personality would match her appearance. It's what Cole thought, shaking her head as she laugh lightly.
"Its okay." She answered. "The situation like this isn't new to me either way."
The two of them fell silent. Neither of them minding it nor they are trying to break it for the silence they both had is quite comforting. That is until Sonia spoke.
"I didn't know you're not a girl at heart Cole." Cole that was caught off guard but was not of fear but of shock.
"We've been friends for almost two months now. And you just know?!"
Sonia shrugged. "I thought it was a joke."
Her response cause a grunt to escape Cole that was rubbing her temples in frustration.
"Sonia, I'm bisexual."
There was a short pause coming from Sonia and Cole inwardly cursed thinking that the girl might change her approach due to the sudden confession.
Sonia, that was still swallowed by silence. And Cole was enveloped by fear as the silence from the girl is deafening her.
"What's a bisexual Cole?" Cole froze for a second ad her mind went blank.
"What?" She asked, assuming she had heard everything wrong.
"You heard me the first time." Was Sonia 's response.
All fears that was playing on the back of Cole' s mind vanished. She sigh, not a frustrated one. But a relieved one. All her worries vanishing and was replaced by a fit of laughter.
"You scared me there Sonia." The girl said in between her laughs too which Sonia only responded by tilting her head in confusion. Her reaction sent another wave of laughter to Cole as she struggle to explain the meaning of 'bisexual' to the girl in front of her.
"I get it!" Sonia enthusiastically stated upon hearing the struggling explanation of Cole. Her hyper outburst earned an unmotivated "Congratulations" from the jet coloured haired girl.
"But does it look like I care?" Cole's eyed the girl for a mere second.
"Y- you're not bothered? Creeped out? Grossed?" Cole questioned, grabbing the shoulders of the blonde haired girl shaking it.
"If I act bothered would you feel better? What's so weird about what you said anyway?
Cole paused, her grip on Sonia's shoulder loosening."Everything." She mumbled enough for Sonia to hear.
"Even if you turn into a boy or grow a dick it still wouldn't change who you are. You will still be the loud and smart friend of mine."
After what Sonia had said, the blonde haired girl went back to the book she's reading leaving Cole to debate with her thoughts doing her best to suppress the smile that was trying to break out of her lips. Her eyes darting to the girl in front of her that was once again enveloped by her unmotivated atmosphere while embracing the comfortable short-lived silence that covered them two.
"Anyone in the room you fancy then?" Sonia's sudden question awaken a blush on Cole's cheeks and upon noticing this, a smirk then appeared on Sonia's lips.
"No thanks, you'll hate me." Cole buried her head on the table as she said it but her words didn't go unheard by the other girl.
"Try me." Sonia challenged, the smirk she had on her lips widening.
"Well..."Cole hesitated moving her head that was still in the table sidewards to eye Sonia that was looking at her with a sly grin. She sighed."Its Erika."
The girl on Sonia's face dropped and was replaced with a pout. "Okay. I do hate you."
Cole giggled, her shoulders shaking while her head not leaving the table she rest her head on. "Y'know she hates my guts."
"Don't worry. I hate her too."
"Then why do you..." Sonia stopped herself from questioning further upon seeing the distant look dwelling in the amber eyes of her friend. 'Everyone had its own hardship.' She thought before going back to her book as she mumbled a brief Whatever.
'She's... not asking.' Cole thought to herself a relieved smile playing on her lips. 'I'm surprised I could bring myself to trust someone this big.'
Cole straightened herself up, sitting properly like she did before her hands on her lap fiddled together as she played with her thumb.
"She looked like her."
A smile made its way to Sonia's lips that she immediately replaced with her usual unmotivated gaze upon looking up from the book she's reading.
"Her... huh."
Cole looked to the glass window of where Sonia first looked at the excited students that was now dwelling in the entertainment that was happening in the gym. Cole wasn't particularly looking at anything, yet at the back of her mind was a contemplation of whether to talk or not that was son answered the minute she closed her eyes.
"I was a very delinquent student. I drink, I have touched a lot of girls already." She then paused to look at the blonde haired girl. "Don't get me wrong I touch but I was never touched."
Her statement caused Sonia to roll her eyes and shrug. "It doesn't matter."
The two of them chuckled but was once again swallowed by the quiet atmosphere and Cold took it as an opportunity to talk more.
"Just so happens that I met someone that I would love so genuinely." She v looked back once again at the glass window as if its a mirror that might show her the past. "One that look aside my imperfection."
Sonia took notice of where this is heading but kept it to herself for her friends to say it from her own.
"And I ruined her there. Let my imperfection swallow her to the point where I couldn't save her." Cole looked like she was about to cry but swallow the lump in her throat. "I let her drink my habits where her kidney didn't take it. I thought she would be okay. Turns out she only had one left after donating one to her brother."
Sonia scanned the girl in front of her. No longer cheerful or joking. "I was going to donate mine."
'It didn't match.' Sonia thought looking at the glass mirror as well as if seeing the struggling Cole from it. Clutching the hand of her dear lover in desperation and bitter malicious eyes sorrounding the two of them.
"My kidney isn't compatible with hers." Cole sigh. "And she was then taken from me, from the world, from my arms."
She felt lonely, regretful. She felt dark. And yet she felt relieved like a cold hand touching her face and pushing all the pain she had a bit back. And there Cold noticed, Sonia's hand on her shoulder her other hand holding a box of juice that was pressed on her right cheek. The same disinterested look on her green orbs yet a glint of honour and sadness glimmer in them.
"Here have some juice." Her Unmotivated childlike voice echoing with in Cole. That cause the pain Cole had to be outweighed by pigments of joy.
"Y'know this is not allowed here in the library right?" Cole stated in a fit of laughter.
"Well its allowed if you're not caught."
The table where the two sat was once again enveloped in a series of quiet laughters, Sonia trying to get Cole to even just a smell moment of time.
Be enveloped of joy that she had never felt for quite a long time now.
