"Juliette!" A gentleman in the clearing was calling Juliette. He was wearing a loose shirt and the humid weather soaked it in his sweat.
"How can a man dare to call me by my name?" It was baffling for her to meet a guy in the middle of nowhere who knows her name.
"I'm Romeo!" He was approaching and with that was offending her.
"A face like yours is not Romeo's. You filthy, creature." She was referring to his sweaty shirt.
"I'm sorry about giving you a bad impression. But I am actually in Willington to pay you a visit. And yes, I don't look like a Romeo, but you sure look like a Juliette."
"W--wait. Why do you know me? And why are you paying me a visit? And how did you know I'm here? If you have detrimental plans against my behalf, you won't live in the world with a peaceful mind. Just so you know." She never dared stop going on her way.
"Woah! Calm down, young lady. I am just here to accompany you back to your house where your father is waiting with good news. And I didn't expect you were not ladylike."
"That means you are scared and since you know something about me other than my name, tell me what you know."
"Why?"
"So, I can decide whether to leave you be or kill you before I arrive home."
"Now I know why nobody dared pursuing you."
"You're such a monster!"
"And are you not? I'm just stating facts which you have given me right now."
"I hate you!" He angered her and made her never talk all throughout the walk.
Her plan to make the guy guilty about making her feel bad was a success.
She knew that he was the guy her father was talking about. He was the guy whom she was bound to marry even without the notion of love. She has been against this arranged marriage ever since. But how can a daughter be against her father's wishes?
"Jaq! Aunt Jaq! Wake up! Everyone wants to be with you while watching the sunrise." Amira was waking her up on the next day already. Her grandkids call her Jaq since her full name is Juliette Anne Quinn and they are the only ones who can call her that.
"Wait-- What? What do you mean sunrise?"
"Yes! It's our second day in Willington. It's amazing, isn't it? People wanted to live here because of this."
"Oh, goodness me! Okay. I'll be on the porch after I change. I promise!"
"Okay. Nana prepared hot chocolate for everyone and I helped her," informed Amira.
She then washed her face and muddled her things up in the wardrobe to see something that would fit her mood for the day. After finding one, she was all set. Yet a scarlet box reminded her of that letter. She took it out and read it as she was walking to the porch.
Her heart dropped as she read the post script. It said, "I am expecting that you will receive this letter on the day before my arrival. I'll be there as the sun rises."
She felt like her body won't accept any amount of oxygen anymore. Her heartbeat was much faster now than yesterday.
"My lady! Are you feeling bad again?" Beth was worried about her since yesterday.
"What do you mean again?"
"Aunt Jaq! The sunrise!" Jude was amazed because it was his first time seeing that in Willington.
And as they watched the sunrise, every problem at hand was on a still.
The first ray of sunlight was warm and soothing. It was as if nothing can make your heart break or shaken. It became warmer as the sun came out like a rose taking its perfect form in an instant. But a scene like that wasn't meant to last forever. Yet, they can only hope that something similar could happen on the morrow.
By this time, Juliette gained her composure and was ready for any storm that she knew would arrive at her house. After watching the sunrise, they headed inside the house. But when Juliette turned back to look at the gate, there stood a man.
