As Rebecca walk through the door Abby jumped off the couch yelling "so what happened?, what was all that at work?, I thought they said we have to train you because your a new waitress?"
Rebecca a little startled from the bombardment of questions just stopped in the door way and let out a sigh "that was a ruff day, and getting call for a meeting at the end of the day was terrifying I thought I was going to get fired on my first day."
Rebecca sat down on the couch Abby wondering what was going on and if she was going to tell her what happened this morning and in the meeting she looked at Rebecca eyes wide and asked "would you like to talk over a cup of coffee or tea" Rebecca just gave a nod yes.
Abby jumped up to put the kettle on, as she reached the kitchen she picked up her phone and asked "would you like to order something for dinner?" Rebecca looked up shook her head, got up off the couch and headed towards the kitchen.
When she got to the door of the kitchen she looked at Abby and said "I cook us something, what do we have any meat and vegetables?" Abby quickly turned to to say "you don't have to do that you worked very hard today!"
Rebecca was already looking in the fridge whan she said "I don't mind, it calms and relaxes me when I cook, I find it quite fun" she had already taken out a few things while she was talking.
She moved to the kitchen counter and placed all the ingredients she took out the fridge on the table. Abby looked at the food on the table there was a small block of ginger, a small packet of carrots, a tin of black beans two pieces of chicken, a half a head of broccoli and a packet of egg noodles.
Abby looked up from the table to see Rebecca scratching in another cupboard this time she came back to the table with a container of flour and a few spices, she move again to the fridge to get the carton of eggs and a bottle of milk.
Abby finished making the coffee and put a cup in front of Rebecca as she moved to the end of the kitchen counter, she hoped on to the end of the table and watched Rebecca while she drank her coffee.
Rebecca started by breaking the eggs in a bowl and adding a little milk, she took a sip of her coffee and then in a new bowl she added the flour and some spices.
She moved both bowls to one side and began cut and clean the chicken pieces, which she then dropped in the bowl that had the egg mix stirred it round and set it aside again.
She cleared the small wooden board and gave it a rince under the tap, then she whippdd the table and placed the board back and started cutting the broccoli into pieces.
On the stove she put on a pot of water to boil. Then she took a pan out and put a little bit of oil the pan covering the surface of the pan and then placing it on a low temperature to get the oil running in the pan. She moved back the the 2 bowls, putting her hand in the bowl with the chicken and egg moving the chicken around to be fully covered by the egg mix.
Then slowly dropping the chicken in the flour and spices mix she made.
Once all the chicken was covered in the flour mix she moved back to the stove and turned the temperature up to high on the pan and dropping the noodles in the boiling water.
One by one she placed the chicken pieces in the oil as to not get then stuck to each other after filling the pan she when back to where she started in the pan and started flipping the pieces one by one, as she flipped the pieces Abby could see each piece was perfectly golden brown.
Once done flipping the chicken, she drained the noodles and set it aside, putting more water in the pot and boiling it again. Once the chicken was done she put it on Carlton paper to drain the excess oil.
In the pot of newly boiled water she tossed the cut broccoli. She poured the oil in the pan out and started frying the black beans, while that was frying she open the carrots and started cutting it in to strips.
She gave the beans a toss in the pan waited a few seconds and then poured them over the noodle, putting the pan back on the heat and adding the carrots to the pan with a little bit of water and then removing the parboiled broccoli from the pot.
She then moved back to the board and started cleaning and cutting the ginger into thin little strips. Once the carrots were done she pour them on the noodle too, she then little fryed the parboiled broccoli and also poured it on the noodles.
In the pan that was place back on the heat again she pour a very little bit of oil and then added the ginger, once you could smell all the lovely intence ginger flavour she added a cup of water 2 different spices and so soya sauce to the pan and turned the heat down to low to let it simmer.
While the sauce was simmering Rebecca mixed the chicken in to all the rest of the food, when the sauce was done she poured it over the food and asked Abby to grab some plates.
Abby shook her head coming back to reality saying "wow, um um oh yes plates, I felt like I was watching one of those food Channel shows. That was great, it looks great and I bet it will taste great too."
Abby paused as she remembered they didn't talk about the work thing but she will bring it up after dinner.
