Synopsis

Spell and Item Tiers

NOTE: These auxiliary chapters are not meant to be actual introductory chapters. Please do not start the novel reading them and instead start from Volume 1. I have intended these auxiliary chapters to be reference points to look back to for worldbuilding.

Spell Tiers:

Elementium - Common spells or skills usually learned for those from levels 1-20. The most basic and common of starter spells/skills.

Denoted as E-rank. E- and E+ rank spells are lower and higher end E rank spells respectively.

Dimensium - Spells meant for those levels 21-40. Generally, trained human individuals in the new world have most of their spells at this range.

Denoted as D-rank.

D- and D+ rank spells are lower and higher end D rank spells respectively.

Celesium - Spells learned during levels 41-60. In the new world, spells at this range are considered at the realm of absolute mastery and expertise among humans.

Denoted as C-rank.

C- and C+ rank spells are lower and higher end C rank spells respectively.

Behemium - Spells learned during levels 61-80. In the new world, this range of spellcasting is extremely rare, usually cast only by non-mortals of significant power and experience, though there may be one or two extreme outliers among mortals.

Denoted as B-rank.

B- and B+ rank spells are lower and higher end B rank spells respectively.

Altium - Spells learned during levels 81-100. Spells of this level are almost entirely unknown, reserved to the strongest beings in the world such as the Burning One (more commonly would be known to readers as a demon king), the strongest of elder dragons, and the gods themselves.

Denoted as A-rank.

A- and A+ rank spells are lower and higher end A rank spells respectively.

Ultima - Extremely powerful spells learned only by players after they complete new game+ cycles. This tier of spell is more like an ultimate move rather than a castable spell. They are usually extremely flashy and tremendously damaging but have incredibly long cooldowns and costs. In the new world, a spell of this tier has never before been recorded, exceeding the realm of the demon kings, gods, and dragons. A spell of this caliber would most certainly bring upon mass destruction capable of shifting entire landscapes.

There is no denotation for this tier of spell. They are simply referred to as Ultima-class.

Item Tiers

Common - Items for levels 1-20. The lowest rank of items. Ranges from mundane objects like cups to regular steel swords.

Magical - Items for levels 21-40. Items at this tier are considered special and have magical effects as well as a slot to insert a rune for further enhancements. It is not uncommon for weapons of this tier to draw attention in the new world.

Rare - Items for levels 41-60. Items at this level are extraordinary treasures and can hold two rune slots. They are generally held by the strongest of mortals and would be worth incredible fortunes to get a hold of.

Mythic - Items for levels 61-80. Weapons of this range are those of straight myth and legend. They are immensely powerful, heavily empowering their users and also possessing three rune slots. They are spoken of, but rarely ever witnessed. Those few items of this tier in existence are usually guarded national treasures.

Godgiven - Items for levels 81-100. These are items derived from a thousand years ago, when game elements first came into the new world. The amount of items at this tier still present in the new world can be counted on one hand. Their power is such that a wielder can change the course of history.

Celestial - Items for levels 100+. This tier of item is only granted to players who have completed cycles of new game+, making them entirely absent in the new world. They require immense amounts of time and resources to forge, likely requiring a hundred hours of grinding resources and currency to even forge one piece of Celestial equipment. To even begin to forge a Celestial item, one must obtain a Primal Shard, an item dropped only by the final bosses of NG+ campaigns, causing each piece of Celestial equipment to require an entirely new play through to forge.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that an item of this tier in the new world would be considered an unmatched superweapon.
