Just barely making it out of the lady's grasp, I jump out the window and dashed toward the street. Of course, the street is busy and I'm losing time. It a four-lane highway so that much is expected. I ran across the first lane stuck at the second and look back to see hospital security after me. Turning back, I make it across two more lanes. The final lane is the busiest.
As the hospital security closes in on me, I make it across the next lane. Finally! I can go back to my normal life. I can get rid of this stupid curse. As I'm reaching for the pocket watch, I get tackled to the ground. The hospital security got me before I could get the watch.
I struggled trying to break free as I watch the pocket watch disappear in front of my eyes. Of course, that swiftly broke my spirit as I get dragged back to the hospital.
Once they got me back in the hospital, I was bombarded with questions like, "what were you thinking," "why would I do something so reckless," or "what got in your head." Not answering any of the questions, I look down with a look of total disappointment. Soon enough, I was put back in the room handcuffed to the bed.
"Are you alright kid?" The mystery lady from earlier asked. I ignored her and thought about how this couldn't get any worse. Oh, how wrong I was.
I felt a pain in my chest and my vision got blurry until I saw a giant "16" in from of me. I realized what was happening as I got a little shorter and felt the worst pain of my life. The pain is what I would describe as the closest thing to death. Soon after, I passed out.
