This girl really just called me "kid." I mean I look young for a 27-year-old but, she looks to be the same age as me.
I look at her with pure confusion and state, "You look to be about the same age as me so I don't get what you mean."
And she suddenly states laughing. I'm super confused and a little annoyed.
"How old you, like 17? I'm almost 27-years-old. I'm far from being the same age as you, " she says while still laughing. Realizing how this all looked and what I must look like, I submitted to the reality of the curse. It's not that I didn't know this would happen, I just didn't think I would lose 10 years straight away.
Even though I was annoyed, I just wanted to start my search and get as far away from this lady as possible. I get up off the ground in a good deal of pain but sucked it up. At this point, the lady chimed in and said, "Umm, you probably shouldn't be moving around so much. You just fell off a building and after what you just said, I'm certain you hit your head on the way down."
Though she was probably right about the first part, I could tell she was making fun of me on the second part so, I simply walked away. After looking around this place is basically a copy of earth but more futuristic. I really want to explore this world. As I walked down the street, I collapsed and woke up to that woman who simply said, "Told ya so." We were in a hospital and I was left extremely confused. After a brief explanation from the lady, she basically told me I passed out. She also asked if I remembered my personal information for the hospital papers.
I was about to tell her until I remembered, I'm not from this world. All of my personal information, wouldn't even be considered as real. That means I got two choices. I can either pray to father time and hope the pocket watch appears right in front of me, or I can escape. Seeing the possibility of the first option happening being slim to none, I went with the second option. I attempted to jump out the window while the lady ran over to me and tried to pull me back in when I heard it...
Tick...
Tick...
Tick...
Of course, it's across the street from where I'm trying to escape. Escaping is a must now.
