The sudden change in her tone made me look up. I saw her staring back at me, her face devoid of any expressions.
"I walked all the way here just to see you, and you only care about me when I hurt my toe."
She complained to me, seemingly looking hurt. I didn't know what I did wrong or where I went wrong, but I kept my mouth shut. I would rather stare into those mysterious orbs of hers; they reminded me of the sun burning with all of its glory.
"Are you for real? Why are you still not talking to me, huh?" She continued. "Looks like it doesn't matter to you that I am hurt." She tore her gaze away, looking into the distance.
It was her complaint which made me break my silence. "It does, of course. Only if you would have gotten hurt for real." My hold around her toe tightened, applying pressure to it.
"Fine! I was faking it." She humphed. "What other choice did I have? You were not talking to me."
