"I don't like the idea of me strangling you, Michael." I gritted through my teeth.
Angered would be an understatement of what I was feeling at the moment. I was beyond enraged.
I had only found my way back to where others were just to discover that Aden was nowhere to be seen. What was worse was that nobody seemed to have a single clue about his whereabouts. Well, nobody except Michael, who chose to lie to me about it.
"I really don't know, Amara." He shook his head frantically. "He only told me that he's heading back to the dorms." He repeated his words from earlier for the nth time tonight.
"And you want me to believe that?" I scoffed. "He made me promise him that I would be back in time for this stupid dance. Now, he's the one who's gone. That's clearly not like him."
"Who are you to say that? You clearly haven't been acting normal tonight either." He glared at me.
