~•Amara•~
I didn't know what to feel, or what to think about it all. I found myself at a loss as my eyes lingered over her back.
When Aden had asked me to accompany him to the nearby town in exchange for his forgiveness, I had agreed to him right away because it was equal to killing two birds with one stone. He would have accepted my apology, and I would have gotten to spend some alone time with him.
But it seemed like fate wasn't on my side. Why would it be now when I was the one who had pushed him away? Why would it help me otherwise?
"Are you doing okay back there, Amara?" Her concern filled words pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah! I am doing good here." I mumbled as I forced myself to smile at her.
She was sitting in the shotgun seat as Aden drove the car, while I was chucked away to sit at the back seat, all on my own.
