"Don't look at me like that, boy. I know a couple of tricks myself." He spoke up, probably after seeing the way I was staring at his hands.
Whatever he said was true though. He was a demon, just like his step-daughter. There was no way that he didn't know a trick or two. And I had to accept that I was not only shocked by his little stunt, but also impressed. It had me wondering whether or not I would be able to do the same.
"I am sorry." I could only apologize to him for my not so decent behaviour.
"You need to stop apologizing to me. The only person who needs to do it, is the one who's not really apologizing." He chuckled lightly. "From the looks of things. I can even say that she doesn't have any regret or guilt." He added while glaring down at Amara who had her head hanging low. Not because she was finally filled with remorse and guilt. She was rather focused on her fingers as she played with them.
