After listening to what he had to say in return, I could only stare at him with my eyes wide open. I was once again left at a loss for words by him. It wasn't the teasing remarks but the honesty which was lacing his words.
He was just standing there next to me, staring down at me. His eyes were locked with mine, holding my gaze in place.
"You can." I managed to reply after a while, trying to cover the uncomfortable silence which was lingering in the room. I wasn't really saying it just for the sake of it. I meant it. But there was no way that I was letting him have the satisfaction of success.
"But only in your dreams." I added only to see his lips breaking up in a smile, one which showed that he didn't mind my words.
"Of course, I will. It's not like I can help it." He replied to me before squatting down next to me. "These days, I can only dream about you." He added with a wink.
