"You have gotta be kidding with me."
I couldn't help but chuckle out loud seeing the shocked look on his face. He looked like he was just robbed of the only thing which was precious to him. His face had lost all the color while his jaw was hanging low as he kept staring at the building ahead with his eyes popping out.
"I am not." I mumbled softly under my breath. I was really not joking with him. I wondered why he was taking our next adventure for the night as a joke. Moreover, I was never someone who would share a laugh with others when it came to work.
"N-no." He added, only to get questioned by me.
"Why?"
"There's no way I am doing this with you. Scratch that! There's no way I am letting you do this either." He finally managed to say something.
"You know that I can do this on my own, but it will be pretty boring without you." I tried my best to fake a hurtful expression. I really wanted him to accompany me.
