"F@*#!"
This was all that I could manage to say as soon as my eyes ended up landing on the open notebook which was resting on the retractable arm of my seat. I blinked my eyes a couple of times with the hopes that things might turn out to be different.
Every fiber in my body was begging the Deities up there, asking them to help me in the situation. I was wishing for the time to revert back to the moment when I had taken out my notebook, and stop me from flipping through the pages mindlessly. It would be much more beneficial if I could send my present self to the past, just so I could force my fumbling fingers to a stop.
I gulped down a mouthful of saliva to wet my dry throat, but it was of no use since I lacked the courage to reply to him. I slowly pushed my tongue forward and traced it over my lips. Drawing in a long, deep breath, I finally looked up from the black and gray toned page to him.
