"I said… let me go." I gritted through my teeth, and the next moment I saw him struggling on the ground. He was clutching on to his chest with both of his hands as he groaned out in pain.
"Ugggghhhh…!"
Seeing him kneeling before me, whimpering in pain, made my mind go completely numb. I didn't know what was happening to him, or who was responsible for it. Not knowing what to do, I joined him on the ground, my knees almost touching his.
"Aden?" I called out to him softly as my eyes roamed over his face. A lone tear escaped his eye which was followed by another, and then another. Beads of sweat glistened over his forehead while he kept his eyes shut.
"Aden? What's happening?" I called his name once again only to see him scrunching his eyebrows together. To me, they seemed like they had almost become one.
Not knowing what to do, I moved my hands to cup his cheek.
