I woke up to bright rays washing over my face. A yawn threatened to escape my lips as I struggled to keep my eyes open under the warm glow of the early morning sunlight. Every joint and muscle in my body had grown stiff, rebelling against my need to move as if something was keeping me in place. I was about to make another attempt at turning to the other side when a familiar voice stopped me in my tracks.
"Stop moving. I am trying to get some sleep here."
The groggy yet melodious voice rang next to my ear and I could only get lost in my own thoughts. She was finally here, with me, in my arms. Well, not literally at the moment since I had my back turned to her.
