It was a stormy night in Trinity Bay. Christopher was looking out the window of their house, watching the rain pour heavily against the ground.
Back then, he was ten years old and had been living like a human in the small town since he was a baby. He crossed between worlds now and then, but mostly lived as an ordinary child in the care of Martin, his father's most trusted servant.
"Young master. It's not safe to stay near the windows in this storm. The trees might break and branches may fall against the glass" said Martin from a distance. "Do you want to stay in Aeros for the meantime? The weather is not good here in Trinity Bay."
"No, I want to see the rain," insisted Christopher. "The rain is beautiful."
Martin walked up to Christopher and put a hand on his shoulder. While also appreciating the rain, he said, "Yes, it is. The rain blesses this land of its water and gives it life."
