Qin Zhan looked at the documents inside the envelope briefly before he put the documents aside. When he raised his head, he could notice the puzzled look in Gu Xin Ye's eyes.
The corner of his lips turned up to a smile. "I haven't eaten since lunch. I can't look at so many words right now. I'll look at the documents again after this."
Gu Xin Ye nodded. It was then that she recalled that Qin Zhan had mentioned that he was busy at an event at the hotel earlier.
"You were too busy that you did not have time to eat lunch?" Gu Xin Ye asked. She watched as Qin Zhan nodded lightly and continued, "What sort of event that got you so busy?"
"A birthday banquet."
In the past few days, Qin Zhan has been busy preparing a few desserts for this banquet. The small cakes were then stored in the chiller before they were decorated just before they were to be served.
