Chapter 1 - Villain Academy [1]

"The jewel is finally mine!" A young boy exclaimed.

The sky was tinted with shades of purple and blue, and ferocious growls of animals could be heard.

A dragon— not so big in size— flew across the sky, and seated on top of the creature was a boy, who looked not a day older than fifteen.

The thrill and excitement he felt was clearly visible on his face while he rode off to the distant sky. Behind him stood a large castle, emitting a creepy aura.

The castle appeared to be centuries old, and vines surrounded the castle. Wild trees grew around the castle, and the thorns around the castle made it difficult for others to approach it.

However, the young boy, named Min Hyunjin, made it past the thorny path after countless number of tries; his relentless behaviour made it possible.

Inside the mansion was the large jewel made of valuable material— The Shimmering Sapphire. Staring down at the shining jewel in his hand caused satisfaction spread through him.

Scratches on his body were made due to his brave actions. Nonetheless, they did not bother him much.

A growl at that moment caught his attention, and turning his head back, he saw another boy come towards him. The competitiveness radiated off of the other boy.

Hyunjin stared down at the large jewel inside his hand, and he understood what that other boy's target was.

Clutching tightly on to the jewel in his hand, a wide smile spread upon his face. A rush of adrenaline went through him. There was no way he was going to lose his jewel to Kim Taehyung!

Pulling on the reins attached to the dragon, Hyunjin turned back to flash Taehyung a victorious smile.

A sneer formed on Kim Taehyung's face, slightly revealing those sharp fangs of his, and a mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. Drawn on his eyes was a black diamond, and his dark hair was styled messily.

Black crystal earrings were worn by him, and dressed in red and black clothing, Taehyung lived up to his name of being the worst student of the grade.

That expression on Taehyung's face caused Hyunjin to furrow his eyebrows, and having no clue on what the vampire planned, he decided to concentrate looking forward.

There was merely a kilometre in front of him now, and as long as he passed it with the jewel in his hand, he will be rendered successful. The victory was very much close to her.

A gush of wind came towards his direction, and he grew cognizant on how Taehyung was speeding up. He pulled on the reins harder in hopes that Taehyung will be unable to catch up to him.

"Jinnie, I am getting exhausted by now, and my energy is depleting. I don't think I will be able to hold on any longer," his dragon, Noran, vocalised.

Those words of his dragon caught Hyunjin by surprise, and he vocalised, "Hey! You can't be giving up this easily, Noran! There is just a small distance ahead left for us."
