"This is the video huh. I don't remember ever pushing her down a couple of stairs. The angle of the camera it's pretty convincing though. Did she already react to the news?" Ashlyn asked Li Zi.
"She did just now. She went on live to 'defend' you." Li Zi responded, her expression gloomy.
Ashlyn nodded and she enetered the live with her account.
'She joined!'
'The sister joined the live!'
'@Sissiebrown she joined!'
The comment section in the live flooded with people saying that she had joined the live. There were many already bashing her. There was a reason why Ashlyn joined with her main account, showing who she is to everyone. Once she proved that the video is false it would be interesting how people look back to Sissie's attempt at 'defending' her.
"First of all, I just want to tell everyone that my sister is definitely not like that. I have no idea who posted the video but I-" Sissie cleared her throat and pushed back her 'tears' to successfully give the audience more suspicions.
"This video is already 1 year old. I really don't know who is trying to harm my sister but I really hope my fans stop all their threats towards her. She did nothing of that sort and she's innocent of whatever the video is trying to portray." Her expression was filled with determination. To the audience her assuring words were to defend her guilty sister.
As soon as those words left her mouth the whole comment section sympathized with her. After all, she did say the video was already a year old. Wasn't she indirectly saying that the event happened a year ago, therefore confirming that it did indeed happen?
Ashlyn pursed her lips. Sissie easily swayed all her fans with just a few words. Since she was in the entertainment industry earlier than her Sissie already had a platform and millions of fans behind her. They would surely defend her no matter what but what could she do? Someone who just entered the industry and has little people to defend her.
"I already have one of my connections looking for the location and inspecting all the CCTV cameras. We will be able to prove your innocence if we find the original video." Li Zi assured her.
"No, that would take too long and I doubt it even exists anymore. I have to stop it by the end of today's interview." Ashlyn shook her head and she went back to the video. She watched it multiple times taking in every detail. "That dress. I have only seen her wear that dress once. It was a year ago the day she received the best actress of the year award. That week I had a broken arm. How could I push her down so effortlessly with my left hand when my left arm was broken at that time?" Ashlyn hummed.
"I want you to….." Ashlyn continued to explain to Li Zi exactly how she wanted things to happen.

"We are trying but it will be impossible to get rid of all the hate comments. There are just too many of them." Mike's lips twitched and he felt super frustrated. No matter what he did more and more hate comments would appear.
"The footage must be fake, start there." Conner replied and hung up on him.
Conner frowned when he saw there was still no message from her. Well, he kind of expected it anyway. She would probably not ask for his help at all and only rely on herself.
'You need my help. I know you do.' He thought. This is just the start of her career and some scandal like this could ruin her. She would have to find solid evidence to defend herself or else this event would be haunting her forever. Offending such a big fan base as Sissie's was just a no in the entertainment industry.
In the future, if something were to happen to sissie who would the public look for to blame?
He was determined to believe that she didn't actually do as it appeared in the video. He isn't an idiot to not understand the intentions behind Sissie's words. Since the beginning he always knew she was double faced. It was that day in the birthday party when he saw her bullying his wife, that he understood her intentions.
He sighed and rubbed his temple. 'How should I deal with them? Does she know her father is pushing her step sister into my arms? Will she be angry if I openly show my displeasure with her father?' He contemplated. That would mean that his father's bussiness might be affected and people would hesitate to do partnerships with him, in hope to not offend Conner.
Even if she would not come for his help he would help her lessen the hate comments. And if she does find a way to prove herself he would make sure it would reach everyone's eyes and ears. After all, the entertainment industry runs in his hands so what can't he do?
"Hmm." He continued rewatching the video to find faults in it. His sharp eyes would analyze the video from beginning to end.
"Got it." He smiled when he found something useful.
He was about to call Mike and tell him about it when he received Ashlyn's call. His lips curled upwards. "If she called me then that must mean she knows I'm useful." He grinned and answered the call.
"Is there something I can help you with? Wife." He tapped on his desk with his fingers waiting for her to speak.
"Ahem* I need a favor. It's a favor so I will surely repay it. This is the only time you are allowed to help me."
"Do you need the real footage?" He asked straightforwardly. "No, my interview is about to start again and I don't have time to do it myself. My cousin will send you the name of my doctor and the hospital name. I need the x-ray and medical report of my broken arm from a year ago. The date I took the examination was on…." She explained. If there is someone that could retrieve the medical report fast it would be him.
Conner furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. 'How is that related to anything?' He wondered. "Ashlyn, how Is it related to the current situation?" He asked curiously.
"Trust me. I got this." She assured him. "Alright. I will send you the pictures first and have one of my men deliver the actual documents." He replied. "Thank you. Since this is a favor I will return it by giving you some useful information." Ashlyn took a deep breath.
"Useful information?" Conner's eyes lit up in interest. 'She really doesn't take my help for free huh?'

After explaining what she needed to explain to Conner, Ashlyn hung up. She would have retrieved the medical report herself if her doctor weren't loyal to her father. He had always had people watching her and spying on her. The doctor would surely not give her the report and pretend that it never happened.
That's because it wouldn't be good if the reason why she got her arm broken was exposed.
But an eye-for an eye correct? Ashlyn's lips curled into a smirk.
