Dinner was amazing. Too bad it was over quickly. Afterwards, I was given slightly bulky armor. Apparently Annabeth wasn't kidding about anything. Although the sword I was given felt odd. Almost like I've already had one in my hand before.
I was sent to protect the flag alongside a few guys. It looked like I was going to miss out on the action. That is, until a large girl in marine corps camouflage attacked us. The guys couldn't do much against her. And I stayed by the flag in case she was a distraction. I still didn't know how I knew anything about what I was doing. It was just instinct. That's when I ran to the other flag. I didn't think about it. And seeing how the flag wasn't protected because everyone else was attacking each other gave me hope.
I got the flag and started my way back. As soon as I crossed a river, the conch shell blew again. And the flag started changing to a new one. As it changed, I saw everyone's face go from ecstatic and angry to shocked and scared. Annabeth was shaking her head in fear.
"That's a titan symbol," Annabeth kept muttering. I was getting very close to a meltdown. So I did the natural thing. I ran as far as I could. I didn't know where I was going, but I ran into the guy in the Hawaiian shirt.
"Young lady," he started, "I would like an explanation." It wasn't a question. It seemed more like an order.
I told him as much as I could. And I realized that his attitude was changing. "Apollo is to blame? Ah well, I advise you to leave after this fiasco. If you see anyone else in need, please bring them here. Yet, you will not be able to pass through the gates yourself."
He raised his hand and I blacked out. Waking up on the road again, I realized that the sun was rising. I wasn't in the forest. In fact, I was at a farm.
"Ah, you're awake," someone said. "My name's Bill. Could you explain why you crashed landed in my crops?"
I looked around and realized I was in a charred circle 5 feet in diameter. "I don't know," I answered. Getting up was a pain in itself, but I still had my memory of that camp. Bill was still there smiling.
"Can I ask your name?" Bill asked.
"I'm Omoro," I quickly answered. "And I could help you with the farm if you need it." I was clinging to the fact that if I asked I wouldn't be in trouble for the crops.
"That's really kind, but it'll be fine tomorrow. Let's get you to the house. If you want to work, I have a few chores for you," Bill said.
The next few weeks were full of cleaning, farming, and talking with Bill. I didn't care what was happening outside the farm. But I was getting some weird powers. Especially when the sun would rise. I would be able to appear halfway across the farm after two weeks passed. And Bill was kind enough not to question it. Then a message came through. There was someone I needed to help. I didn't know who sent it, but I wanted to keep my promise.
As the sun rose, I decide to push the limits of my transportation. I was going to warp to the person in need. When I arrived, I was thrown into a fight. And I started the journey of my life with Lucius.
