Chapter 22 - Distance

I always keep a distance

So I don't get too close

I always keep a distance

So they don't get too close

Keeping a distance is isolating oneself

With that distance, one decides to be lonely

Surviral, right?

This is my survival strategy

I've run like a racehorse wearing blinkers

That's how I survived this far

And that's how I'll survive in the future

I had to keep a distance

I pretend that I don't know

If I get caught that I know,

Then I can't pretend that I don't know

I just want to see what I want to see

If I see too much,

I will get lost

I don't care at all

Even if I do

It's of no use

I just want to believe what I want to believe

Then I will be happy with that

I just want to remember what I want to remember

Because I want to protect myself
