Spiritual Blade 2
It's been nearly a month since Gavin Kenjo and Sam Tormen had met Kosuke Nakamura, the 40 year-old man with soul powers as well. One day they were relaxing at the tower when screams could be heard. All three leapt from the top floor of the tower, using their zamaru's energy to fly and descend down. They touched down to see a man with black hair dressed in a dark-blue coat standing before them.
"Hmph, I knew a little chaos would pull you whelps from hiding...I've heard from my subordinates that you two seem to have powerful spirits residing within your blades. My men pleaded I send them, but I'm done sitting around. It's time I come and see what your zamaru can do in person"
"Heh, I like to think of it as...my spiritual blade" Kenjo quickly pulled out his blade holding it vertically instead of up and down. "Let me show you the dragon's power!" The warrior made a striking motion with his sword as a green dragon made of energy left the tip of his blade. The assailant placed his palm lightly on his blade as the roaring dragon prepared to attack.
A dark-purple aura lit up around as his body before he unleashed an onslaught of slashes with his blade, quickly sliding it back to his side. The young hero felt weak as he fell to one knee out of breath. He could see cuts all over his body but remained calm. (T-this is nothing, a few cuts won't make me submit!)
"Heheh, don't tell me that's all you got. I haven't even revealed the form of my zamaru yet. What a shame it would be if you were to die before I'm able to even use my spirit's power" Kosuke gripped his blade tightly preparing to attack.
"Please, I don't need some blind fool interfering with my battle. You're not even my target" The villain responded. Just then with a slight smirk, the man dressed in gold advanced toward their foe at great speed. He stopped Nakamura's blade with his own as the city shook.
"Hmph, are you really blind? Or are you fooling these two?"
"I assure you I am blind, but only through my eyes, not my mind"
"Very well, show me your power!" Nakamura clashed blades with the assailant, their strength nearly equal. Just then the man's blade began to crack apart before finally shattering into pieces. "Heh, just as I though, your Zamaru was nowhere near my level. A grin grew across Kosuke's faces when the shards of his blade darted toward their attacker like bullets. He could feel the pieces pierce his body before putting itself back together.
"So, your sword's ability is to split into pieces and be used as projectiles huh? Well then, now that you've revealed your Zamaru's trick to me...I won't let it happen again. Face my Zamaru's might! Come Incarsis!" Once again, the dark aura outlined his body as he aimed his blade toward them. A large transparent demonic soul formed around him. It looked like a black skeleton with red flames around it.
Meanwhile Sam helped his injured ally back to his feet. The trio watched as the dark power warped around him. "Behold the power of Sokora's spiritual blade! Come onomi!" The skeletal creature suddenly formed skin appearing as a large shadow-like creature with red flame-like aura formed a blade the size of a street light. Following it's user's movements, the creature threw it's blade down in a slashing motion right for them.
(Focus your power Kenjo, this opponent relies on his sheer force instead of strategy. Use that flaw to your advantage) Shimigon telepathically said to his sword wielder. A devastating attack rushed past them just as both Sam and Kenjo stepped out of the way just in time along with Sam holding Kosuke. Kenjo watched as the wave of red energy wiped out half a mile worth of cars and structures.
This made Gavin a little uneasy but tightened his grip once again, he knew he had to defeat or at least slow down his assailant. "Power of zamaru: Dragon dance!" The pair watched as purple mana engulfed the warrior's body. At that moment four dragons made of his own power charged Sokora. His zamaru spirit slashed toward the dragons wiping two of the four out causing them to vanish while one of the remaining entities headbutted it in the abdomen.
"Hehhaha, surely this isn't the best you got" With an abrupt swipe of his hand, Sokora's spirit caused a shockwave sending everything flying backwards. While Sam and Kousuke staggered off their feet into the night, Gavin managed to stick his blade into the ground to keep from blowing away. Just then he spotted Sam's sword laying on the ground just a few feet from him. Quickly he ran for it as the villain prepared for yet another attack. Luckily Kenjo reached it just in time. Crossing both blades in a deffensive position he took the full force of the tyrant's attack without any damage.
"What are you thinking? Surely you don't think you can use the full power of his zamaru, only the true welder can unlock it's true potential"
"Even if you're right...two swords are greater than one!" As both blade's powers surged within him, he took off at immense speed. Sokora used his power to seal himself within a transparent red barrier just as the attack hit. Gavin hit the barrier yet it didn't break the barrier. "Damn, how am I gonna break through?" That's when Sam's zamaru spoke to him: I am Zekura the soul within the zamaru...allow me to lend you my power and help fight back.
Gavin's body unleashed a massive wave of purple light as both swords lit up. "Dual zamaru: Demonic dragon!" Jumping away from the barrier he unleashed a black dragon with red eyes flying right for the barrier. "Don't waste your time, your dragon can't break through my defense" As the entity struck the barrier, it began cracking apart from the incredible force of the dual attack.
"N-no, it can't be! My power far surpasses yours! Very well...i didn't want to use this but you leave me no choice. Now witness, the transformation only few can reach in an entire life time!" Suddenly the red aura swarming around his body began to chance his form as his body grew more muscular as his dark-blue coat ripped off and fell to the ground as Sokora stood in a far stronger body with red skin and yellow eyes. His blade now emanating a far greater than before.
Even with the spirit not protecting him any further, Gavin was unsure if even two zamaru would be enough to stop his foe. "What's the matter, can't you transform into a Zamari as well? How sad" With a swift sword motion the transformed enemy sent a far greater wave of force traveling several miles utterly destroying everything until only rubble was left. "Let me tell you something fun before you die, a zamari is the form a zamaru swordsmen takes when he awakens the true power of his blade. Something you won't live to achieve!"
With a single punch the sheer force of it struck Kenjo in the abdomen, sending him crashing through the piles of rubble across the city before landing miles away in a field as blood seeped out of his wounds. As it began going black, Gavin found himself in a black void with a man dressed in a white cloak stood before him. He had long gold hair with blue eyes.
"W-who are you?"
"Don't you recognize me? I am Shimigon. I am apart of you. This is the first time you've been summoned this deep into your subconscious that you're able to communicate with me similar to if we were actually in person. So then...will you just give up and die? Or will you quit holding back and show him your true power?"
"What are you talking about!? I just fought with two blades and still lost. How can I ever hope to beat someone that powerful?" Shimigon walked over placing his index finger in the center of the boy's head, "Rember my advice to you, if you focus solely on power alone, you can't hope to beat him. Use your brain and use your own power. Sam's blade may've enhanced your defense, but it's limiting your true power. Now...awaken"
With that Kenjo opened his eyes still bleeding but the pain slowly fading away. The swordsmen let go of his friend's blade and ascended into the air heading back to the battle. "Really? You survived my attack yet come back!? You really are a fool" As he prepared to attack, Gavin unleashed a wave of mere power that shook the city just standing there.
"What is this!?" Sokora responded as a dark purple cloak formed around Gavin's body along with his eyes becoming a shiny purple as well, his blade turning black. "No...it can't be. No mere welder can obtain Zamari so fast what is this!?" Gavin slowly took a calm deep breath before looking at his opponent. Sokora hesitated before advancing right for him swinging his blade at full speed, Gavin abruptly stopped it with one hand, the force of it causing the street to crack apart along with what was left of the buildings to fall from what remained.
"Hmm, seems Shimigon was right, a warrior with a calm mind shouldn't rely on power alone" Pulling the blade out from his foe's grasp, Gavin unleashed a blast of energy that went straight through the assailant's body in a ray of light. He watched as his target hit the ground turning back to normal with his sword breaking apart until the pieces blew away in the wind. With a deep breath once more, his vast power faded as his awakened state vanished.
That's when Sam and Kosuke finally came running up to him. "Are you alright Kenjo? Where's that bastard!?" A smile grew across the warrior's face. "Don't worry, he's gone. Hopefully that's the last we'll see of him"
"Well then, if that's it then let's head back to my floor and rest up until tomorrow" Both nodded as they proceeded back to the tower. As Gavin walked past Nakamura the man felt an immense power for a mere moment. A chill ran down his spine, he had never felt such power in so long. Once Tormen was in his room, Kosuke used his ki sensing ability to see why his ally's power had sparked all of a sudden.
(What is this?! His power was nowhere near this high and yet he seems to have surpassed even my power!)
CHAPTER 2 Another World Is revealed
As they awoke around noon the next day, Kosuke was eager to test this hidden power that was within Kenjo. They stood in a large field outside of the city "I sense something within you, something that wasn't there before. Show me your awakened soul power"
"Heh, if you want to see, then you'll have to force it out of me" Gavin smirked as he slowly pulled his blade from it's holder. Sam watched from the sidelines as Nakamura advanced forward looked on to Gavin's energy. As he unleashed a devastating slash right in front of his combatant, Sam saw Gavin evade it just seconds before it could hit. (There) Kenjo thought seeing an opening. Quickly he threw his blade right for Kosuke while creating a chain made of his Ki to link the sword's abilities to him while the blade was out of his hand.
The man stopped the incoming sword with his own but could feel the force of the blade still pushing him back. "Damn it, just how much power are you concealing!?" With another smirk Gavin aimed his right empty palm toward his drilling sword and sent a wave of force right for the bottom of the handle causing it to break Kosuke's defense sending him staggering off his feet while the warrior's blade returned to him.
"Heh, looks like I've already surpassed you, perhaps you've lost your touch"
"Alright then Kenjo, let's see you take both of us on. Sam jump in, we're going to fight him one on two!"
"Right!" Gavin gripped his blade tightly as both Kosuke and Sam dashed right for them. As they both attacked, Gavin dodged Sam's strike causing the young swordsmen to go flying past him while he stopped the old-warrior's coming strike with his own blade. "Come now, I'm sure you both can do better than this, I'm only using about...20% of my overall power"
Both opponents charged up their energy as they outlined with purple and while light. "If you're so confident Kenjo, then let's see you deal with our strongest attacks" Nakamura responded. Both warriors gripped their blades tightly as they prepared to attack. Kosuke threw his blade as it spiraled toward his target, shattering into shards of energy. Meanwhile Sam made a vertical slashing motion with his blade as a burst of black and red energy shot out of the tip of his blade. The surge of energy fused with the shards of the swords becoming wisps of dark energy projectiles.
Gavin forced his sword into the ground creating a colossal spirit dragon as it wrapped itself around it's master as a barrier. The shards broke threw the purple dragon entity but stopped two feet from it's target as if Gavin was using merely his own soul energy to push them back. Nakamura stood in shock as his sword pieces flew back to him reshaping itself at his feet while Tormen's dark energy faded.
"I've trained for years to reach the level of power I'm at, how could you exceed me in such a short amount of time!?" Gavin could see the frustration in his friend's face as it went red. Before he could say something, a crack in reality broke open right above them. A callosal black muscular demon with red eyes reached down, grabbing both Sam and Kosuke before swallowing them and faded into the darkness. Kenjo tried to follow into the reality rift but it closed too fast. Even his new level of speed couldn't reach it in time.
"No! Sam, Kosuke! RRggh! Why, why wasn't I fast enough!" Gavin struck the field in anger causing the area to shake around him. . Suddenly a faint soul energy papered behind him. "Hehe, so sad you couldn't save two mere people. If you can't even same them how will you save the world from such creatures"
"What are you talking about?" Kenjo responded not turning around while keeping his soul sense on the stranger. The man standing behind him in a black hooded-cloak smirked responding: "I have the ability to summon Magradites to this world with ease such as the one you saw moments ago that took your friends"
Enraged Gavin lunged toward him trying to grab the assailant but found himself passing right through the hooded man. "Don't waste your stamina, this is a minor duplication of myself. I wouldn't waste my energy meeting you in person. I do have a fun game you can play if you want your friends back, I've opened rifts releasing magradites all across the city to consume the souls of unexpecting humans. Near one of the rifts I've lefted one open for you to use if you're strong enough to defeat all of the demonic beings and stupid enough to enter Senoba, land where soul energy flows. Have fun"
With that the man left through a rift. Clinching his fist Kenjo ascended into the air in search of the demonic creatures now terrorizing the innocent humans of their world. His purple aura swarmed around his body as he flew through the sky as the sun began to ride. (Strang, demons that can come out during the day, I haven't heard of that before)
Pulling his blade from it's holder he went down for an air attack. A large black snake-like magradite preparing to devour two young school girls. They were about to run when the swordsmen came down, decapitating the large demon. "There, that's one down" Without another word he flew past the pair in search of more demonic creatures.
It didn't take long for him to hear cries of terror through-out the city. (There) With an abrupt slash he sent a wave of purple energy right for a large four-armed demon chasing a group of teens. His fierce strike split the monster in half utterly killing it as it broke into pieces of darkness. The group of teens cheered for the warrior as he continued through the streets at high speed when an entire horde of demons began crowding the streets.
"I must be getting closer, I knew there wouldn't be merely one at each part of down. Seems these monsters aren't ones to normally stay as a group which just makes it easier to deal with them" Just then the group of magradites split into two as a skeleton in a black torn cloak stepped forward, it's eyes glowing red as it opened it's bony palm creating a sphere of fire like a small sun.
"Foul mortal, one shouldn't toy with matters they don't belong" The undead creature responded before sending the fireball down the straight road right for him, the sphere of flame sent items and cars flying from it's immense force. Gavin quickly threw his blade right for the coming attack, causing it to erupt in a colossal burst of light. The streets filled with smoke as flames covered the road and sidewalk.
(Hmm, not only is this demon smart enough to communicate unlike most demons, but seems his power is no joke as well. So then, seems I'll have to try harder against him...Let's go!) Kenjo advanced forward reclaiming his blade as he prepared to attack. A row of muscular four-armed demons blocked his path from reaching his target. However, with instant sword strikes he wiped out all four of them. That's when a flying demon that looked like a white demonic pterodactyl shot a fire ball, knocking him down causing the horde to pile on top of him.
"Hehe, seems you were all talk. No mortal should fight what they can't match up to" As he prepared to call the magradites off the body, the streets filled with light as the dozens of demons were obliterated. "Bravo, didn't think I'd have to resort to using my Zamarai form so early in the battle, but seems you're just asking to die. I won't let anyone die at the hands of any demon" A calm fury could be seen on the hero's face as power surged through his body now dressed in his purple zamurai transformation. "Once I'm in this form, my soul power is on a far greater level"
"We'll just see about that! No human can surpass Codakira, the demon lord of the magradite!" With a swift move he fired another fireball from his fingertips, this time it was red with more power than before. Gavin remained calm as he stopped the orb of fire with the tip of his blade, keeping it back with little trouble.
"Now you should see just how powerless your evil is against my true power. Allow me to help you remember" He lifted the sphere of energy by his sword as it levitated above him. "Now, watch as I flood this orb with my own power" Channeling the power through his blade, he filled the fireball with his awakened power. Causing the tennis-ball sized orb to expand into the size of a blimp. "So then, how will you respond when I send your own attack back 20 times stronger?"
The magradites roared in fear as they ran off while the demon lord stood frozen in fear. With a gentle push of his zamaru, the fierce ball of purple flame-like light slowly floated towards them. It's gravitational pull caused every demon to be dragged inside being completely vaporized. With the demon lord the only remaining target, he began to freak out but did not give up.
"RRRAAAGHH! I won't stand for this! A mere human is trash to the likes of a demon lord, one who surpasses the magradite!" With all his power the skeleton threw both hands out attempting to push the massive ball of surging power back. The sheer force of the ball caused the demon's arm bone to begin cracking. "RRRRR! I will never accept defeat! I will survive!" As the sphere drifted closer, Gavin gripped his sword and tightly taking a deep breath. As he exhaled, he released enough force of his power to push the projectile all the way up to his opponent.
As the undead demon touched the sphere of light, his body began cracking apart until nothing was left. "So, there are higher ranks than a mere magradite, interesting...the more I learn of them and master my new found powers, I shall rid this world of the evil that plaques it" Remaining in his zamurai form he soared through the sky in search of the next source of demons. Using the energy he felt when battling the demon lord, he used it to sense out all the magradites across the city.
"In zamurai I can sense greater distances. So...where is the greatest feeling od demonic KI...there you are" At incredible speed Kenjo soared across the sky like a jet, landing in front of a large rift that seemed to be spitting out demons while pulling humans and cars within the darkness on the other side.
"This is the rift I was supposed to locate? Good, now I'm one step closer to saving Sam and Kosuke" Walking towards yet another group of monsters, he slowly pulled his blade out as the horde charged toward him letting out whales of mindless rage. Closing his eyes, he released his grip on his blade letting it fall towards the ground. The moment his zamaru touched the pavement, it unleashed an incredible explosion wiping out nearly every demon that was within half a mile of his attack.
As he took a step forward, a massive creature came out from the rift. It was 50 stories tall. It had a white buff body whit a black sad mask with fierce soul power emanating from itself. "Like a video game, you must be the boss I must defeat to reach the next level. Very well...the more I use this new power, the more of it's potential I unlock" His foe let out a bellow that was so deep it shattered windows all across the city, shacking the area all around them.
Suddenly the large demon aimed it's colossal arm as hundreds of black spikes poured down on the city. Gavin stuck his blade into the ground creating a small but powerful barrier around himself to protect himself from the coming projectiles. They struck his forcefield rapidly before finally stopping. Gavin watched as the hundreds of spikes cracked open revealing magradites.
"Oh good grief, let's see how you all deal with my special attack while in my heightened form. Dance of the dragon's light!" As his barrier lowered, a massive purple dragon spirit manifested around him. It had yellow glowing eyes. It released a breath of green flames utterly wiping out half the demons in the area. The surviving monsters charged toward the dragon but where sent staggering back by the force of the dragon's roar. As they were sent flying, the dragon vanished giving Gavin an opening to attack.
Aiming the tip of his blade toward the horde of demons he fired a blast of purple energy right for them, all pawns of the giant magradite were killed in a flash of light. "Now to deal with that monster" Just then the ground shook as the demon cried out, grabbing it's black sad mask with it's hands tearing it off. Gavin looked up to see a black skull with red eyes and broken teeth. The demon began to expand growing wider filling the streets. He instantly knew the creature's intent and quickly pointed his blade toward the demon sealing it within a barrier before it could cover anymore of the city.
He watched as the creature blew up inside his barrier in a blinding ray of light. Once the light had vanished, Gavin lowered the sheild as smoke brushed past him into the sky. All the was left from the blast point was a scorched flat surface. "I managed to keep damage to a minimum which is enough for me. Now then, time to save them"
He leaped into the rift, causing it to close behind him. Gavin found himself descending down in a void of darkness for 30 seconds until finally touching down on a large red rocky terrain with green flames below him while he couldn't see anything above him.
"Well, well, well...to think you'd make it here in one piece. Sadly you have a long way to go if you want to even reach your friends. Next time we meet, it will be a good fight" As the man began to warp in a blaze of fire, Gavin shot an energy blast right for him. The swordsmen stood there and saw his target was gone.
"Damn, I wish he would just fight me already, this is a complete waste of time" Before the hero could search the realm for any clues on where to go, an armored demon walked out from the darkness in front of him revealing a pathway behind him. "Hmmm, seems when an enemy show's up a path will reveal itself. Yet another joke"
The demon had orange skin with armor med at of skulls along with sharp horn's on it's head. "Intruder, you will die and burn for all eternity" It shouted in a deep menacing voice. The magradite opened it's sharp palm creating a flaming skull with powerful energy swarming around it. "Taste the might of hell!" His combatant shot the flaming skull right for the zamarai. Still in his powered-up state Gavin used the force of his soul power to slow the coming attack down.
"Hell must've mellowed down if this is it's full might" The warrior joked managing to force the attack just a foot away from it's user. The pressure between both the magradite gladiator and zamurai caused the attack to implode, shaking the void around them. "Hmmph, do you have another trick up your sleeve?" The brute clinched his fist before advancing ahead with fierce flames rushing around their body.
"A mere human has no chance against a magradite gladiator, my powers should easily overpower you!"
"You aren't the first one to tell me that...and I'm sure you won't be the last. But surely you know it won't be easy defeating one who's reached a level far beyond anything a human is capable of" Building up his power Gavin threw his left palm out in front of him, releasing an immense force head on toward the demon. The gladiator found himself slowing down but managing to still go forward.
"Hehe, see you're all talk, if you really were as strong as you say I'd already be dead!"
"So you think I'm bluffing? Very well, I'll show you more of my power. The strong repelling force you're feeling is simply my soul power being released in one direction like a bullet. Now then, face a power well beyond yours" Gripping his sword Kenjo dashed at such a speed, the magradite could only see a line moving at near instantaneous speed. Before finding his target standing behind them facing away from the demon.
Suddenly he felt pain rush all throughout his body. "W-what happened? Why am I in such pain!?" He watched as Kenjo slid his blade back into it's holder. He began walking away as the monster collapsed face down before breaking apart. A trail of demonic energy flowed from the demon into his zamasu.
(What is this? The demon's essence seems to be flowing into my blade. But why? It never did that before. Could it be this world? Ugh never mind that for now I have to find them before it's too late) Moving at great speed he ran through the trail of red rock before reaching a large black gate with a "2" drawn in blood in the center. "This shouldn't be too difficult to open" Placing his palm against the door, he began flooding the door with his spiritual power, causing it to unlatch and open with an echoing screech.
CHAPTER 3 A Far greater Evil
An immense evil sit upon a black throne made of black skulls with spikes around it. "So, he's already reached the first gate leading to the 2nd lower level of hell? Mmmm, could this man truly reach my domain?"
Gavin found himself inside a large blizzard, fierce winds whale around him as he proceeded forward shielding himself with his KI. What is this? I thought hell was all flames!? Not long after walking through the endless blizzard, he saw a giant heart just floating high above him. "Is that, a heart!?"
"Yes, it's the heart of Asuma, she's a woman who was murdered by her husband that killed her to be with another woman. Filled with sorrow her soul became trapped within this place freezing hell's flames into a massive blizzard for all eternity. I am Kira, the guardian of both the frozen heart and the 2nd level of hell. You will go no further"
"I Gavin Kenjo will save my friends and defeat anyone that stands in my way" The enemy dressed in a white-hooded robe raised her palm toward the air creating dozens of sharp ice shards, sending them in the zamrai's direction. However, with an abrupt slash he shattered all nearby projectiles while sending an energy wave that took out the rest. "Ice won't be enough to stop me"
"I know, I was just testing you. Now comes the real challenge...Feeling of helplessness...despair and loss of hope" Slamming his palm in the snow blue flames rose up from behind Kenjo wrapping around his hands binding them behind his back like cuffs. "Heh it worked. What will you do now?" The hero tried to break from the freezing bonds but couldn't free himself.
(Damn, why can't I break free!?)
"My ice flame has begun freezing your life energy. The longer you take to free yourself, the more power you'll lose. Once I've killed you and siphoned off all your power, I shall unfreeze the frozen heart and bring back Asuma" Gavin could feel his zamurai power weakening, making it harder to stay in the form for much longer.
(If I revert back to my base form, I don't think my body will be able to withstand such cold and my heart will stop!)
(Kenjo, you're exhausting all your soul energy instead of letting it build up at once for a greater effect. Where has your confidence and swift thinking gone? I shimigon won't allow you to make suck a crucial mistake. I'll help you, but you must hold in your power for as long as you can) Gavin closed his eyes as ice began spreading from his palms up his body beginning to incase his body in ice.
(Power of a zamurai...I will bottle it all up until...)
"Haha, seems most of your body has been trapped within my ice, in just a few moments all your rare power will belong to the frozen heart!" Ice began crawling up Gavin's face when his fist twitched within the ice.
"RRRRAAAAHH!" Unleashing 100% of his power at once, he shattered the prison while also causing the temperature to shift. It was no longer snowing but cold enough to keep the area incased in it. He fell to his hands and knees out of breath. The warrior felt exhausted but knew there wasn't time to pass out. Taking deep breaths, he managed to get back to his feet.
"I have friends that are in trouble, I won't leave them to die"
"That's too bad, in your base form killing you should be simple" Kira created a sword made of ice and her life energy as she pulled back her hood revealing her long blue hair and blue eyes. "I will save Asuma!" She dashed forward gripping her blade tightly. Their swords clashed sending the snow blowing all around them. Both fighters clashed in a barrage of sword strikes. Each clash sent a wave of force all throughout the area. Kira attempted to stab Gavin through the next but missed just seconds before contact. Gavin kicked her blade out of her hand sending it spiraling away landing in a pile of snow.
"Very well...you've wasted enough of my time human...I shall kill you here and now!" Manifesting two swords this time, she charged him once more in a blind rage. She began throwing random strikes toward him. Even in his weakened base state he managed to stop most of her attacks with his own blade when he final got an opening, he stopped her dual blade slash with his blade, kicking her into the snow before launching his blade into her abdomen.
"Ack!...D-did I lose...is this where I finally join Asuma?" Tears filled her eyes as the life left her eyes. Gavin couldn't help but feel sorry for her, she just wanted to save her friend just like him. He pulled the blade out and walked over to the frozen heart. Placing his bare palm against it, he flooded it with the rest of the power he had left. He grew weaker as the ice began to melt and the heart slowly began beating.
With no energy left, he fell from the floating heart landing on the now dry land passing out...
Gavin eventually awoke to a woman with long black hair, hazel eyes dressed in a black dress with a red rose on her chest. "Thank you young human, you have saved me from the frozen eternity I was destined to endure. For that I shall make your journey easier. She aimed her palm over him, warping him up to the large gate with a "5" At first he looked at it Confused but brushed it off cause he knew he didn't have much time left.
"Asama must have given me some of her energy since i feel most of my stamina back. Hopefully it's just enough to unlock this door and proceed forward" Once more Kenjo placed his palm against the cold steel door in front of him flooding it with his own energy until the door creaked open.
Gavin slowly proceeded forward walking through a black void with only a white Pass beneath his feet. Just then a Group of 5 masked men stood before him.
"Welcome human, you're the 1st being in 100 years to reach this far. Nevertheless, you still have a long way to go to beat us we are the Demon gods trusted enforcers. Even if you somehow manage to beat all of us, the demon God reigns supreme even over us, his vast power barely tipping the barrier of a God. Before we kill you allow me to tell you our names, I'm Diodo, this is kindo, Saharara, Kisame and Xeno.
Gavin saw they wore red robes with gold lines and all were wearing silver face masks. "So then, who's going first?" Gavin bluffed still little drained from opening the large gate. Their leader Diodo pointed past the warrior behind him. "That will be your first opponent. If you somehow managed to beat it, you'll have the honor of taking us on"
Kenjo turned around to see an evil version of himself. It had white hair, red eyes and pale skin. Both warriors faced each other gripping their blades tightly. The squad watched as the demonic clone slashed head on toward it's opponent. Gavin was just barely keeping up with his duplicate's attack. Suddenly the demon managed to slash his shoulder sending him falling backwards. Blood dripped from his wound as he used his zamasu to stand back up.
"Hehe, is that all you have? Don't tell me I'm the stronger version of you!" The demon responded. Gavin summoned his spirit dragon right for his foe but watched as it shattered from just one strike of the clone's blade. Gavin stood there with wide eyes feeling powerless.
"You can't win, I'm the despair and fear your sins fuel me with, so long as you sin, I will always exist. "That's not true" He said in a weak but calm voice. The demon charged him, striking him with his fist head on in the abdomen, sending him several feet across the floor.
"You won't exist...for I will accept you" The demon began to become a mist of red energy as it flowed into the human's heart. The squad watched in shock. "What is this!? You can't just accept your sins! You've scared your soul and are doomed for damnation for all eternity!"
"No...sin is just a mistake that can be purified if he truly accepts their flaws and mistakes. I will use my experience to improve myself" A mix of red and purple KI swarmed around his body as he clinched hist fist. His skin became pale as purple horns grew from his forehead.
"This is blasphemous! You will die here!" Diodo ordered Xeno to attack. Xeno was buff holding a large scythe and flew right over to the transformed human. He swung his blade right for the warrior when Gavin abruplly caught it with his bare hand. Gavin easily shattered the blade just by tightening his grip on the tip of the weapon. "Seems your member here isn't as strong as you think he is" Kenjo backhanded the demon, aiming his fingers toward his target, firing shards of demonic spikes from each finger in a barrage of projectiles.
The team watched as their ally was struck rapidly until the awakened hero lowered his hand. Xeno fell to the ground, turning into mist. "What is this!? No human should be near even our level! RRgh, fine, Kindo, Sahara, Kisame...we're going all out, let's go" All four-remaining masked assailants flew straight at him. Awakening his demon power into his blade, his katana abruptly morphed into a large great-sword with a black handle.
The attackers randomly came at him, with a swing of his transformed blade, Kenjo sent an immense wave of energy in all directions, knocking them back. Diodo clinched his gloved fist in anger. "His zamasu changed? This seems impossible, never has a human reached such heights" He stood and watched as his subordinates continued attacking with blades they made with their red flame-like aura. Gavin moved at incredible speed as the three opponents unleashed an onslaught of blows.
With each clash the void shook. All three simultaneously attacked, bringing their blades down hard. The hero managed to stop their team attack with the side of his sword. Their attack was so great it caused the floor beneath them to crack. Creating a chain made of his red and purple energy he used it to swing his blade around like num-chuks. Two managed to evade the coming attack while Kiodo the short one of the group was stabbed through the chest falling to his knees as blood dripped from the wound.
"That makes two" Kenjo responded as he pulled the sword out back into his hand. He shook the blood from his blade waiting for the next attack. Suddenly great demonic power surged around Diodo as his body outlined with red light. He watched as he and the remaining enforcers slowly drifted closer as they fused into one. There stood a black being with black and red armor and red eyes.
"I've had enough of you, I Kiodo shall wipe you from exsistence!" The fused warrior charged right for his enemy. Gavin threw his blade with his increased strength, using it like a boomerang as it spiraled at incredible speed. Kiodo managed to doddge the blade with only a mere cut across his cheek.
"Heh, nice attempt, but seems you're running out of tricks"
With a snap of his fingers the blade changed course heading back towards him. In a sudden move Kiodo spun around catching it with his hands on both sides of the blade. "Nice try but's gonna take more than that to beat a descended demon such as myself. His foe placed his palm onto the white floor as black chains made of demonic power shot out of the ground like bullets wrapping around the hero's wrists keeping him in place as his demonic power was being siphoned away.
"Hehe, with each passing moment your power is being drained and transferred to me" Creating a blade made out of his red demonic power like a glove. He charged his enemy preparing to end it when Kenjo released a great amount of his power using it as a barrier to stop the attack. "What!? Rrrgaah!" Filled with rage Kiodo aimed his palm into the air putting every ounce of power he had into a massive fireball. The void began to shake viscously as the sphere's immense light and heat filled the dark void.
"Be gone!" The sun-like attack came down with great pressure. Kenjo focused every ounce of power he had left to break free of the bonds and threw his hands out causing the chains to latch onto the ball of energy that had a strong pull. Reversing Kiodo's tactic, he used the chains to absorb the power from the ball causing it to slowly shrink. "Ugh, you mortals are relentless!" With his power replenished along with absorbing some of his enemy's a great red aura swarms around his body as the chains shatter away.
"Seems your tactic backfired, I now have even more power than before. Next time don't use chains that can siphon energy" Kiodo prepared to attack once more when suddenly Gavin moved right up to his opponent, striking him through his abdomen with blood gushing out from his wound. The tyrant fell to his knees in pain as the hole slowly began to close when Kenjo quickly aimed his open palm just inches from their face unleashing a red energy blast completely destroying him.
"There, now to finally save Sam and Kosuke" He walked up to the large gate with the dark number on it. Instead of filling the door with his power, he managed to break the door down with the force of his fist's momentum. It hit the ground with a loud boom where he saw blood-covered stairs leading up. After walking up the stairs he found himself standing in the throne room of the demon god Vertago. He had long black hair, red eyes with a black and red royal robe.
"Well, well well...never thought you'd finally reach my throne room mortal. I believe this is what you're looking for" Vertago snapped his fingers and Kenjo's allies warped into the room bound with chains made of red glowing energy. "Normally I'd play fair, but I'd find it more entertaining to do this" Aiming his index finger toward the two out-cold men, firing a beam that completely obliterated them.
Gavin watched as all that remained was ash. Feeling his heart racing with anger, Gavin advanced full speed toward his target punching him across the face, sending him smashing through the large red rock wall into the black void. "I didn't think you were stupid enough to fight me head on but fine, I'll kill you here and trap your soul here forever"
Sending a barrage of chains right for the hero, Gavin did a flicking motion, sending a massive wave of force right for the coming projectiles slowing them down. Given an opening Gavin fired the powerful blast he had used to destroy Kiodo however, Vertago slapped the hand away causing the blast to land outside of the void in an immense explosion that filled the endless void with red light before fading.
"If that's all you got than you might as well kneel down and beg for my forgiveness" The demon god commented. Kenjo paused for a moment before filling his great-sword with his overwhelming power before doing a vertical slash with his blade. A wave of red energy rushed straight for the demon. He attempted to stop it with his hand. When they made contact, Vertago was slowed down to the point it seemed he was moving in slow motion.
"How dare you...slowing my body won't stop me from killing you" Gavin unleashed an onslaught of blows with his improved strength, striking his opponent's open abdomen before finishing with one full force strike. With his stamina mostly drained, time began moving normally with blood coughing out of his mouth while staggering backwards before stopping himself by slamming his feet down slowing his momentum.
"Hehe, how pathic of me to be injured by a mere human. I'm not through yet, I still have one trick left up my sleeve. Hell fire!" Gavin gripped his zamasu as the endless black flames charged right for him. He absorbed the flames within his blade until it couldn't hold anymore.
"Knowing hell flames, they can burn through anything, even a demon!" He charged the demon god, slashing him repeatedly with his hell fire blade, piercing through the god's body. "Time to end your tyranny once and for all!" Stabbing his target with his blade, he siphoned all the power from Vertago while filling him with the hell fire utterly burning his body from the inside.
The demon god let out a faint laugh as his body began to burn away into ash. " What are you laughing about?" Gavin responded aiming his blade toward his dying foe. Vertago smirked telling him: "Your friends are dead and in heaven, the only way you could possibly save them is if you travel to heaven yourself. To bad you have way too much demon energy within you for them to let you anywhere near the gate. Hehehe"
Kenjo Slid his sword back to his waist as he began walking away. "Don't worry, I'll find a way to get to heaven" After about 20 minutes he finally reached the portal, taking him back to the human world. "So I have to reach heaven? Let's hope this works" Stabbing himself with his own blade, He separated his soul from his physical body, sealing the empty shell within a strong barrier So no one could touch the body.
Using his ability to sense power, he flew through the sky, following the sense of overwhelming power until he came to a large golden gate. ( I knew it would work With my body separated from my soul I'm on a new plain of existence. Most humans can't sense the power of heaven)
