Irina was allowed going to the ball by her father, but she had to stay home before that. Luckily it was only a day before the ball. She was watching a beautiful dress that hanging in her room, it was delivered in the morning by one of Nieal's maid. The dress was dark red with an embossed of mini golden roses in around the sleeves and lower edge of the dress.
She touched the dress. Feeling the soft fabric in her skin. "Hmmm.. This is good."
Roman saw his daughter touching the dress with her eyes close. "It's beautiful." Made Irina's eyes snapped open.
"Papa!" She gave him a brilliant smile. "I thought you're still at work."
"I'm here." He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, leading her to the kitchen to have their lunch.
Nieal was busy, and yet he still managed to have the butler deliver the food to them. Irina just shook her head, she turned to her father.
"I can cook for our lunch, Papa." She said.
"I know dear, but seems like Nieal forget about that."
Nieal pay them a visit in the late afternoon, where Roman was getting ready to go to work and Irina sat on the only armchair reading her borrowed book from the library yesterday.
"Hey, Glassy! Do you like the dress?" Irina saw Nieal pulling a chair while throw her the question.
"It's beautiful. Thank you." She continued staring down at her book, while Nieal put the chair next to her.
"How are you feeling?" He asked concernedly.
Irina sighed, she closed her book carefully she put her hands on it and turned to look at him. "I'm fine." She cracked a smile that made his brows raised.
"You want to hit me with that?" He pointed at the book.
"Yes."
A light chuckle escaped Nieal's mouth. "I see. You are perfectly fine."
"You're no fun." She faked her pouting.
Nieal laughed hard. "I need to be presentable tomorrow."
"Maybe you can hit him after the ball." Her father said while entering the living room with his bag that will be filled with many candles.
Irina happily shouted "That's brilliant idea, Papa." She gave Nieal her mischievous smile that sent shiver to his spine.
This father and daughter are really alike thought Nieal. He could see where Irina's way of thought of strange idea came from.
"Oiiiii.. That's call abusive." Said Nieal to Irina.
"If it's towards you then nothing calls abusive."
Roman laughed hearing what his daughter said to Nieal, and the man gave her a hurtful look but second later they both laughed.
"You can hit me anytime, but not today. Okay?" Nieal stood up, he put back the chair and turned around seeing her smile brilliantly.
"Of course."
Roman shook his head and walked towards her, he kissed her forehead and said "Be good and stay home. Don't follow me!"
Irina grinned looking at her father and she saw Nieal blinked his eye at her when her father's back was facing them, he was opening the front door.
"Don't worry, I'll follow him tonight." Whispered Nieal so that only Irina could hear him.
But to their surprise Roman faced them and saying "No!" He said firmly to Nieal. "Don't you have other things to do Master Danieal?"
Instead of answering to Roman, Nieal's head turned to Irina. "He can hear us? Why?"
She giggled again realizing how foolish she was as she remembered what her father had told her earlier. "Papa put an extra spell in this house, so that every move or the lowest sound can be noticed."
Nieal's hand touched his chin as he nodded. "Precaution always better." He then said to Roman. "Let's go. I'm coming with you anyway."
Before left with Roman, Nieal told Irina that the butler and a maid would be there preparing diner and gave her company.
