By the halfway mark through the auction, the auctioneer rang the bell and called for a break. Everyone got up to stretch their feet and walk around the hall. Some went over to the drink bar to get something to quench their thirst.
Vy successfully bid on one item, an antique jewellery set that she had confidence in selling for profit. She knew someone who would easily take it off her for double the price she paid. Easy profit.
From the corner of her eye, Vy noticed a hooded figure speaking to several members of staff. This person stood out from everyone else. First of all, who would choose to keep their hood up in an indoor space?
One would only do so to keep their identity hidden. Vy found herself watching this person and their interactions with the staff members. After a short chat, they shook hands and the auctioneer guided the hooded figure out of the hall.
