"So, what's this thing you're supposed to tell me about?" Vyrena asked as she ate another mouthful of flavourful fried rice.
Lycster could feel his palms sweating as he tried to gather his thoughts. He glanced over to Aether, who gave him a reassuring nod. His Familiar, Aurora, materialised on his lap, rubbing her cheek against his chest.
-You'll be fine, Lycster. She won't bite.- Aurora purred.
Seeing him so nervous made Vyrena worried. Her mind began to list all the possibilities it could be. Most of them were negative but she tried her best to focus on the positive ones instead. She put down her bowl of fried rice.
Vy placed her hand on Lycster's, "You know you can tell me anything, right?"
"Of course," he replied instantly.
Lycster took in a deep breath. He picked up the small cup of tea off the table and drank it all down in one mouthful. It helped to calm his nerves a little.
