When the light dissipated, a man stood before them.
"Tius?" Vyrena called out.
The man smiled and nodded.
The curse was lifted! Tius was back to his human form! The associates were surprised. They had been skeptical about it at first but the results have proved them wrong. They quickly got to work, checking Tius's vitals.
But there was a crucial detail that remained. Tius could not speak, he was mute. When Vyrena was told, she felt her heart drop. She assumed that although she successfully broke the curse, she had rendered him mute.
Zylphy quickly clarified the misunderstanding. Tius was mute. Even before he went on the mission, he already was. But now that he was no longer cursed, he could communicate with them telepathically.
-You've saved my life, Vyrena. How can I ever repay you?- Tius thanked Vyrena telepathically.
"You don't have to repay me. We can just call this even," she replied with a smile.
