It was finally time for the Trial of Soul, a magic duel tournament where students were pitted against one another in a battle of skill and wit. The objective was simple. Using all that they had learned in their studies, the students must defeat their opponent to advance.
Their battle will be observed and scored by a panel of judges made up of professors, faculty members, student council members, and seniors from a higher grade. Lycster had been training day and night for the tournament.
Since his sister had come to support him, he took the opportunity to spar with her too. Vy was pleasantly surprised by how much Lycster's abilities had advanced. Her heart was filled with pride to see how far he had come.
"What… what do you think?" Lycster asked in between breaths of air.
Vy smiled from ear to ear, "You've gotten really good at this, Lycster. I'm proud of you."
