After the blare of the horns, the survivors had a few days of peace. During that time, they worked hard on their plan. Vyrena continued to train and spar with the others. She would also practice her control over her flames.
"It seems like you've gotten a lot better," Ronni commented as he watched her summon and extinguish the flame at will.
"Thank you," she replied, but there was no smile or happiness derived for the compliment.
Ronni sensed that something wasn't right. He folded his arms and asked, "What's wrong?"
She let out a sigh, "Having control over it is one thing. But I don't know if it's good enough."
"What do you mean?" He asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.
