There was an immense pain and sorrow behind Evan's gentle smile

As Don said, the white blankness around him turned into a grizzly warzone.
When Don looked at his feet, he saw the ground beneath him was dyed in red while the sound of metal clashing and screaming echoed through the field.
There were millions of dead bodies lying on the ground, some looked like a human while some had different forms. The red clouds, the dead bodies, the ominous flashes of lightning, the screamings, and the ominous feel in the battlefield sent a chill through Don's spine because it was nothing like he has ever seen, not on this massive scale.
Don tried to see the dead bodies closer but the scene disappeared and the previous white blankness surrounded him.
"What you have just seen is only a fraction, Don?"
"Fraction of what?"
Evan sighed as he let out a gentle smile
"The war between the Gods and the Vargons"
