Half an hour later,
Fluffy snowflakes fell from the sky, covering most of the rocky region that spread out before Gin. But, he couldn't enjoy the view as he was in heavy pain.
He felt as if countless needles were pricking his body, it's the result of using the Absolute wind technique far too long, exceeding his body limit.
In order to escape from Gris, he accelerated his speed to that of someone who reached the peak Seal opening stage. He got away from his opponent but it came with a price.
Thankfully he's a physique cultivator, otherwise, he'd have been in a much worse state.
Sitting under a huge snow-covered rock, Gin took out a crimson stone and placed it before him. It's the Sourcestone he got in the Windspear ruin, he has been using it for the past three months.
Even so, it still looked the same with gleaming luster and exuded soothing aura. There's not much decrease in the energy present in it.
Closing his eyes, he practiced his breathing technique. Shortly after, milky-white energy rose from the source stone and seeped into Gin's body.
The pure energy present inside the sourcestone is at least 20 times better than what the Elemental stone provides.
After what seemed like 15 minutes, Gin stopped his practice. He felt refreshed and completely renewed, the exhaustion and weakness he felt after the battle has waned.
The tearing pain was still there, but it's bearable.
Tapping on the communication bracelet, he once again checked and saved the direction of the journey. From what he knew, everyone's communication bracelet will lose signal once they near the inner region.
Finishing the breakfast that he prepared before, Gin sprinted towards the inner region of the Extreme snow region.

Failing to kill his opponent, Gris returned to the place where he was enjoying his coffee before the battle.
"Boss, did you finish him off?" Silentwatch asked as soon as he spotted Gris. His eyes were filled with hate and resentment.
'How am I going to live from now on?' He lost his leg and will be regarded by others as a cripple. No one would hire him anymore. His life is finished.
"No, he escaped," Gris replied. Storing away all the belongings in his space treasure, he walked towards Silentwatch who was wrapping his bleeding leg with his clothes.
"I am sorry! You were a good comrade." A dagger in Gris's hand swiftly slashed Silentwatch's neck, ending his life.
Soon, he gathered all the evidence in one place: bodies, arrows, weapons, pieces of equipment he used to set a perimeter, and other things left behind by his late employees.
After completely destroying everything and making sure no evidence is left behind. Gris then tapped on his communication bracelet and called the person who gave him the job.
"Is he dead?" A voice sounded from the other end, a little excited.
"No. The mission is a failure. The information you provided doesn't match with the target." Gris said. Stifling his anger, he asked: "Care to tell me who he is, Olin?"
"What happened?" Olin asked, gritting his teeth.
"I have sent you a video. Watch it and you will understand." Gris sent the video and said.
Olin checked the video sent by Gris, but his face lost all the color just after a minute of watching it, and beads of perspiration filled his forehead. 'How is he this strong?"
'Isn't it mean the information that I collected on him is completely wrong?' Just thinking about reporting his failure to the Ruling master Halzix sent a shiver down his spine.
Don't think of him as someone great just because he was reporting the information to Halzix. In fact, he was just a footman when he joined the Silverwing tower.
Only he knew what kind of things he has done to climb the ladder of power to reach his current position. Now, just because of single failure he's going to lose it all.
What worse, he can't even guarantee his own life. 'No, I won't accept this.'
"Can't you wait for him to come back?"
"Olin, I agreed to help but you can't expect me to throw my life for nothing. Can't you understand there's someone powerful backing him up?
I don't owe you anymore. As promised, I have done everything within my power to kill him and I failed. Now, tell me what you hid from me?" Gris asked.
"What are you saying, Gris? I didn't hide anything. I think you don't understand how important this mission is? Failure means I may even lose my life."
"Oh!" Hearing Olin's words, Gris was surprised a little. He could tell the latter is not joking.
"You have to help me on this one, Gris. Please. I will keep this favor in my heart. Also, I will double the pay."
"Olin, money isn't the problem. I may lose my life if I stay any longer. Sorry, I can't help you." Gris ended the call and unfastened the communication bracelet and destroyed it.
On the other side, Olin smashed the wooden table before him in anger and frustration. Steeling his heart, he decided to report the failure to the Ruling master.
Instead of doing something and messing it up, he knew its wise to admit his failure and accept the punishment. Who knows? If Halzix is in a good mood, he may be excused from the punishment.

"Boom!"
Evading the high-speed stinger aimed at his thigh, Gin brandished his wooden staff against the head of the scorpion.
The ice-scorpion had light blue shaded skin and metallic exoskeleton. Combined with strong pincers and venomous sting, they are not a creature to be taken lightly.
Their stings inject a venom that has strong paralyzing and pain-inducing effects. It won't kill strong practitioners, but without an antidote, they will become food.
Even though the scorpion before him is strong with four elemental cores formed, it couldn't dodge Gin's strike in time which mashed its head.
Slashing the region below its neck, Gin took out a tennis-ball-sized elemental core โ it was purplish transparent crystal and had a spherical shape.
A fog-like thing veiled the inner surface, preventing others from seeing through what's inside. But, Gin with his soul energy could perfectly see what's beneath it โ another three small crystals with varying sizes.
The magical symbol in his chest trembled a little, revealing its desire to absorb the energy contained within it. He suppressed the urge and threw the elemental core into his space.
He doesn't mind consuming it, but he wants to keep this one to complete the mission.
Just as Gin was examining the ice-scorpion body, two pairs of electric blue eyes were coldly observing him from behind. Apart from the eyes, nothing could be seen. Its entire body has blended well with the surrounding.
It's a beast that can camouflage!
As for Gin, he didn't discover the beast's presence and was pondering over how to extract the poison from the ice-scorpion's tail.
At that moment, his soul energy suddenly warned and he sensed a huge beast speeding at him from behind. It was too fast, Gin only had time turn around and position the wooden staff above his head.
A mouth filled with razor-sharp, gleaming, dagger-like teeth snapped the staff, pushing Gin back. At the same time, the beast swung its claw at his chest.
It's a Snow Leopard!
Fresh blood burst out of the deep claw-shaped wound inflicted by the beast. The impact made him skid back in the ice, shoving him nearly 20 meters back.
"Ahh!" Gin groaned and cursed in his mind.
Twirling around, he ran. In his current situation, turning and fleeing is a right course of action -- considering he was chased by a magical beast that formed five elemental core.
The protective treasure vest he wore didn't shield his body from the attack since it only activates when the force of the attack reaches the peak seal opening stage or above.
If he had known he would face such dire situations, he'd have definitely lessened the conditions for activation.
Looking back, he saw the snow leopard pursuing him at its full speed. It's huge, thrice the size of Gin, and had grey fur speckled with blue rosettes.
What terrified Gin is its electric blue eyes, like that of hunters โ sharp and focused. 'My luck is really bad today!'
He activated the Absolute-wind technique and accelerated his speed. He was forced to utilize the technique again, even before the pricking sensation has left his body.
He could imagine the terrifying pain that would assault him once he stops using the absolute wind technique.
Having no choice, Gin can only grit his teeth and endure the pricking pain and injury on his chest and race towards the inner region of the Extreme snow territory.
